"Former President Trump’s trial stemming from Special Counsel Jack Smith’s 2020 election interference investigation has been delayed indefinitely, Fox News has learned.

The trial was set to begin on March 4 — a day before the critical Super Tuesday primary contests, when Alabama, Alaska, American Samoa, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Vermont vote to select a GOP nominee.

Washington, D.C., federal Judge Tanya Chutkan on Friday formally vacated the March 4 trial date, saying the court will "set a new schedule if and when the mandate is returned.""

That conviction before the election the left is yearning for seems less and less likely. The Georgia case is falling apart due to a corrupt DA and prosecutor and now Jack Smith's case has been delayed indefinitely but we know it won't start on March 4th.

You guys still got Alvin Bragg tho right?

Trial awaiting ruling by the Supreme Court on Trump claims of immunity

Trump hopes he's found to be above the Law which is unlikely

Trumps fraud trial is still on schedule for March 25

WASHINGTON – A federal judge canceled Donald Trump's March 4 trial date on charges he conspired to overturn the 2020 election while awaiting an appeals decision on whether he is immune from the charges.

In the brief order Friday, U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan vacated her order setting a schedule for questioning potential jurors in the case and said she would set a new date after decisions by the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals and potentially the Supreme Court.

The delay could have a ripple effect on other cases pending against the former president. The change in Washington makes it likely that Trump's first criminal trail will be in New York, where he is charged with falsifying business records in a scheme to pay hush money to an adult film star and a former Playboy model. That trial tentatively set for March 25.

A maga judge ruled we should wait to see if the USSC rules trump is immune from prosecution?

I don’t think legitimate judges will do the same.

Worse case this gets moved and best case the USSC rules the president is immune from prosecution and then Biden will get to enjoy ordering the military to address it.

It would really help you if you read the entire story - it would let you know that "indefinitely" only applies IF the Appeals Court finds
    that Trump has immunity.

Curious people research - those who are not, do not.

I did read it. I'm not sure what makes you think I didn't. It says they will reschedule when and if they get the mandate returned.

Which is fine because that means the trial most likely won't end before the election. Which means you won't get your fabled "conviction" before the vote.

I'm more interested in finding out if the Courts are going to give Trump "complete immunity". Because if a President does indeed have
complete immunity while in office, Biden need merely have VP Harris accept an "alternate" slate of electors in place of any Trump electors and
he can stay President despite any votes of the people.

I guess you are hiding under a rock and do not know the facts now deposed to. My guess is that Roman's Lawyers are now in big professional ethical strife for tossing bullshit. They know their client is stuffed so they went the lowest blow, and have now been exposed.

I think this will all be delayed until after the election. Likely the court system doesn't want to make this decision until the American people make theirs.

Well first of all Trumps lawyers aren't arguing for complete immunity. Only for actions while taken as president. And having the VP open another slate of electors isn't a crime, it's what the ECA requires. Whether she opens them or not really doesn't matter though because even if she does the house and senate have to vote on them.

lol wut? It's not a low blow to point out your prosecutor got the job because he's banging the DA and she's receiving kickbacks from the money he's being paid to run your case. Which means the longer the case goes and the more resources they have to put in it, the more money the corrupt DA and her **** buddy make.

Thats not a low blow. That's high grade stupidity on the da's part.

Sure, the only way Trump is getting out of this is to win the election then cancel the case.

No I think the most likely scenario is that she's forced to step aside and the person who takes up her job will not be keen on continuing prosecution of novel legal theories of century old law. In which case he/she will play stall-ball until after the election.

Even if it does go to court, Trump has the law in his favor. He did nothing illegal according to the ECA.

As I said, you are way out of date with the facts. Everything you said in that sentence is non-factual. You need to keep up to date, Mate.

The focus on Trump vs focusing on the President of the country - whoever that might be in the future - threatens future presidents by handicapping the office down the road via lawfare. (Unless the left plans to end the idea of a president entirely).
The democrats are of a mind that plats dirty and plays to win today and doesn't not care what happens down the road when we are all dead and buried. They are already trying to dump SCOTUS Sotamoyer for some no doubt Soros approved SC justice.

This is just another clearcut example of going after Trump before even knowing they can go after Trump.

The only she is the judge and she’s not prosecuting it, she’s presiding it.

The day the SCOTUS grants the President total immunity for acts committed in office is the day the Orange Stain gets “rendered” into a foreign prison, never to be seen again.

    I just can’t wait !
