After Trump's disastrous interview with NBC yesterday, he goes even further off the rails with another early-morning Tweetstorm. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/12/...omey-warns-he-may-cancel-press-briefings.html This is remarkable on several fronts. First, what does Trump think Comey knows that could be leaked? Second, on what planet is it acceptable for the president to publicly THREATEN someone to keep them from speaking? So we now know the following: Trump fired the guy leading the investigation into the Trump campaign's Russia ties; A guy who also happened to be the last senior law-enforcement official NOT nominated by Trump; He lied about the reason and timeline for the firing; He then threatens that guy to keep his mouth shut. Okay, Trump supporters. How is any of that acceptable?
He's coming unglued. Says the Russia story is fake news, fired the guy investigating it and then thinks he can claim it's not related to Russia.
There is no russian thing and Comey was not all that great so letting him go was no big loss. As far as publicly threatening Comey well that was a mistake. Trump is not smart when it comes to his twitter rants. I wish he would just stop using twitter because what he is often thinking should not be said to the public. No president should publicly threaten anyone into silence. It's called freedom of speech and Comey has a right to say whatever he wants to. I honestly am not worried about what Comey would say. It would probably have nothing to do with anything important. Just personal attacks between the two and we don't need the drama. Still I don't buy the whole russian thing. I know it's fake. Trump just needs to end his twitter account.
It would be hilarious if Comey was the one who recorded the conversations knowing that Trump was after him
The russian thing is fake news. Crowdstrike lied if you did not know. There is no evidence and all the FBI has to on is a lie made by crowdstrike. Comey warned Hillary he was going to take her e-mails and then was nice enough to give her 3 weeks to delete them. Comey let a criminal go free. He did not do his job. We needed a new director.
His ego is out of this world, megalomania on steroids. Likely no tapes...........Comey will like not be able to address this anyway. Trump may have to exercise executive privilege and the supreme court would be the final decider. Trump is either losing it or wants everyone focused on this so something else gets missed.
Yet Clapper, Feinstein and others claim there just isn't anything there to go after Trump with. Who is wrong and who is right?
Another day, another lib melt. How long can these clowns maintain their faux outrage? They're long past the point of being taken seriously.
'Unglued' is the default. This is a natural extension of elevating a game show narcissist and bully to POTUS. 16 effing choices in the R primaries were better than this POS. Shame on y'all.
Yet they based all of their reports off the single report made up by crowdstrike. Other countries have called crowdstrike liars. The DNC payed them to make a false report. The FBI was not allowed to investigate the DNC servers. Only crowdstrike was and they lied. All of these intel agency's have no evidence and do not know anything. The FBI based it's report off what crowdstrike said. So you have nothing. No evidence.
Well I don't believe anyone who based their investigation off the fake evidence crowdstrike tried to force down our throats. Comey was not very good at directing the FBI. He let Hillary, a known criminal have 3 weeks to wipe out the emails she was asked to turn over when he was investigating her. Why not just take them? Why wait? He was too soft on her. Comey losing his job is no surprise to me at all.
If Trump being the focus was publicly confirmed, it would start a immediate demand for the government to do something. This can't currently be publicly confirmed as it would start civil unrest.
And the evidence it's "fake" is exactly what? Our intelligence and law enforcement agencies confirm there was a "Russian" thing as do committees in the House and Senate investigating the "Russian" thing. At least three people connected with the Trump campaign were in contact with the Russians and one of them, Flynn, maybe facing criminal charges. The only things we know are fake or that lack creditability are what Trump and the White House keeps claiming. http://washpost.bloomberg.com/Story?docId=1376-OPSLSA6S972P01-551BKI1POHQPAUPPMEVI54JVCP Virtually everything coming out of Trump and the White House appears to be BS and a possible cover-up of Trump's real motives. For those of us old enough to remember it stinks just like Nixon's attempts to obstruct justice during the Watergate investigations.
You ever get the feeling that some just have their hands over their ear and are going "nahnahnahnah"?
Yeah. I don't know... I just find it sooo difficult to believe that anyone in Trump's position could be idiotic enough to basically admit that he did something nefarious enough while meeting with Comey that he'd be worried about "tapes". I'm sure on Tuesday, we'll get a bit more info. Let's get Trump on the stand and hear his testimony too. Trump is WAY out of his league and life isn't going to get any better for him over the next few weeks.
No he wasn't investigating if you listen to the Trumpers, in their eyes since he wasn't personally doing it he wasn't a part of the investigation.
This whole "secretly taping" people in the Oval Office really has me worried. It's like I've heard about "secret tapes" in the WH before, but I just can't remember where ... thinking, thinking ... anybody remember some story years ago about secret tapes in the WH? Didn't that create a bit of a stir? Oh well, it will come to me at some point.
The problem with the Russia story is that if the DNC wasn't hella shady and corrupt, no hack would of mattered. Keep giving the DNC a pass and blaming Russia. That way the DNC will still be shady and corrupt in 2020.
I wish it were just faux outrage, It's TDS on steroids and it will last for 4-8 years. There is no cure other than the obvious.
