    He is generally expected to announce his candidacy for the presidency in 2024. After the fiasco of the mid-terms, I don't think he will take the risk of being ridiculized once again.

    So, what wil be the big announcement?

    To me, there are several possibilities:

    1. He's selling the Trump Tower;
    2. He has accepted the job of Putin's ambassador in Washington DC;
    3. His divorce;
    4. His wedding with Mike Pence; ( my preferred option);
    5. All 4 of the above;
    6. Your pick.

    I can understand the MAGA supporters will disagree,but I do wonder what they are expecting.

    I hope he announces he's caught AIDS from Kanye West and they're both moving to North Korea to seek treatment.

    The leaks from his camp said it would be an announcement of another run for the presidency. Then his advisers and outside forces told him not to announce until after the GA runoff because it would help Warnock. Now that's a moot point after the NV race was called for the Dem. If he doesn't announce a run I don't think he'll announce anything. But my money is on another run so he can use it to fatuously claim the legal authorities around the country investigating him are doing so to sabotage his candidacy.

    Now he's caught in a pickle. If he doesn't announce he's running, it will be like accepting defeat. That his Big Lie was responsible for the poor showing in the mid-terms.

    If he does announce, he'll be ridiculed... But, to him, that's just free publicity. However, it will still be very bad timing. Both for him and for the GOP.

    I predict he will not run and will ask his supporters to support another candidate.

    Yep! And Democrats will be so touched by such a magnanimous gesture that 10 Senators will resign to ensure Republicans a supermajority in the Senate, and Biden will immediately follow with a speech in which he will admit "yeah... it was the dead people votes!"

    Don't miss it!

    I bet he's going to announce that he's releasing his tax returns and the paperwork showing his dealings with Deutsche Bank. And that he's going to testify before the January 6 Committee. And that, after serving his prison term, he'll donate all his worldly goods to BLM before retreating to a Monastery in the Himalayas.

    Trump doesn't give a single **** about the Republican party itself or whether they control the House or the Senate. His involvement in the midterm elections was to play kingmaker with his endorsements but his interest is purely in how it benefits himself. Likewise with his past presidency, and it will be likewise with his future campaign. For that reason, if he was planning on launching a run next Tuesday, that's what he's going to do. He doesn't care what the Republicans want or need and will never accept any kind of responsibility for the way the midterms played out. He's a one man show and the show must go on. His pride is on the line now, more so than ever other than maybe the 2020 election. That wound still hurts. The meltdown he had over it is still being felt to this day, including it's effect on the midterms.

    The coming meltdown, when he either does not get nominated or when he does and then loses in the general election, will be monumental. I predicted a meltdown in 2020 if he lost, but I could have never predicted the scope and longevity with which that meltdown would occur. His next one will likely be even bigger, but being prepared for it as the country now is and should be may help to mitigate it.

    He can't help but run again, can he spell ego. But this time he'll lose in the primary. Then watch for the name calling.

    Or as Obama advised us- never underestimate Joe's ability to F**K things up. We obviously did, despite the advice..... The question is, how many times do we have to make the same mistake over before we figure out we are the reason things keep going downhill?

    there will be no primary.

    remember what he told desantis .......

    Donald Trump last night warned Ron DeSantis not to run against him in 2024, suggesting he could reveal damaging secrets about the Florida governor.

    trump was a casino owner and owner of an escort agency. he had working relationships with roy cohn, pecker, and epstein ( known extortionists) not to mention putin. trump has this kind of kompromat on every republican (except liz cheney and kinzingerr apparently)

    The mood wasn't too festive yesterday night at M-a-L.
    I bet the dems celebrated the announcement much better.

    Ron DeSantis has not said he is running for president. Everyone, including the media needs to chill out. We are not seeing misinformation, we are seeing manufactured information -- mostly from the media -- the ones who are supposed to report the facts.
