Number 1. Biden is the CINC.

Number 2. All such strikes are approved by the White House.

Number 3. He closed the air base and pulled out the troops before taking out the civilians. That resulted in an under defended departure and the death of the thirteen marines which was the reason for the strike to start with.

 

Biden's responsibility for the deaths of these civilians is as great as that of the Pope when a priest abuses a child in an American church.

This is a tragedy, there is no doubt about it.

The Army will have to do a thorough review of the way it collects information and also judge the quality of that information more effectively.

Now, I understand the political game of the right wing desperately trying to blame Biden for everything that happens, but this appalling mistake belongs exclusively to the military and that is why General McKenzie went to the media to apologize.

But your hypocrisy cannot be overlooked, especially when we know that Trump has approved strikes in Yemen for three years that have killed at least 150 civilians....

Trump wouldn't do something so stupid as to pull out our own air support first instead of last. If we had air support this would have never happened in the first place.

How many of our soldiers were killed over the last 18 months when Trump signed and enforced the cease fire with the Taliban?
How many people were killed when Trump evacuated 13,0000 troops?
How many people were killed when Trump evacuated 3 US military bases?

The ugly truth is this is the kind of thing that has been going on throughout the entire duration of this war. American soldiers and Afghan civilians being killed, and then retaliatory drone strikes occurring that end up killing more civilians... and sometimes exclusively killing civilians. 2021 was the deadliest year in Afghanistan for US soldiers and Afghan civilians since 2019. The only break in this bloodshed was the period when there was a ceasefire as we were leaving.

The only consolation we have left for this war is that it is finally over. It was a failure under 4 consecutive administration, but it will not continue into 5

 

Personally I really don’t care. It’s just casualties of war. These people let al-Qaeda waltz in through open doors even with US supplied machinery.

Sure. The reason Trump didn’t pull out sooner is because he listened to his military advisors. Biden wanted a political win by pulling out on 9/11 and ignored his military advisors. Politically 9/11 became a polling problem so he moved it up but he still ignored his military advisors. The results are evident.
