Two Navy SEALs are missing after mission off coast of Somalia | AP News I don't know if anyone has posted about this yet, but I do hope that the Navy takes into account the ocean current while they conduct their search operation. I don't know where it happened, but if the SEALs had survived, then they would have been floating on the current. Take this website for instance: earth :: a global map of wind, weather, and ocean conditions (nullschool.net)
The Navy has the most sophisticated tools... from aircraft to ships, from meteorologists to oceanographers to the latest sensor technology and more. Saying "I do hope that the Navy takes into account the ocean current" is like saying "I hope a PhD university professor knows what a book is".
Yes, but I also created a permalink to the geocoordinates of an area of the ocean off of Somalia, and I had an inkling that I should post it. While it's true that it has no more scientific method than throwing a dart at a map, the last time I had a "nah..." moment not to notify someone, seeing in my mind the location of a missing person, I later learned that was where they found the body.
