Texas and Florida are continuing to report fewer new cases of the Chinese coronavirus per capita than blue states such as Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New York, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data.

Texas and Florida, two red states which remain open for business and do not have statewide mask mandates, are continuing to fare just as well, if not better, than pro-lockdown blue states, which continue to operate under health and business restrictions.

According to the CDC’s April 23 data, Michigan reported 449.2 cases of the virus per 100,000, or 44,862 total, in the last seven days. Gov. Tom Wolf’s (D) Pennsylvania has reported 239.6 cases per 100,000 in the last seven days, or 30,678 total.

CDC data separates New York City from the rest of the state in its reporting of new virus case data. Even so, New York City alone has reported 208.1 new cases per 100,000 in the last seven days, or 17,475 cases total. The remainder of the state has reported 191.9 cases per 100,000, or 21,213 cases in the last seven days.....

This is great news! ... for the reopened red states. For the locked up mask mandate blue states , not so much. Yet the branch covidians would continue to lock us up and gag us all in face diapers if only they could. Even Dr. Fauci can’t account for why states that ignore and defy everything he says are doing better than the ones that bow down before him and follow after his every word.

It’s funny that Biden wouldn’t increase vaccine doses to Michigan and his regime told her to lock her state down again instead.

I have no idea why people are crediting Biden's handling of the pandemic. For a President of the US to withhold an increase to Michigan is pure insanity. Imagine if Trump had withheld it, oh you and I both know what would happen then.

You mean, other than those two perfected Trump's plan to minimize testing which will provide the excuses to let the populace to get infected?

Yeah, stuffing heads under the sand is Republicans favorite method to "improve bad news".

Without a doubt. Trump stopped travel, did the 15 and 30 days to flatten the curve, Trump made hospitals, staff, hospital ships, ventilators, PPE’s, masks , available to all the states quickly and oversaw the rapid production of all that stuff as well as research and then production of therapeutics, and then oversaw operation warp speed to get the vaccine out by the end of the year which was the key to ending the China virus. Yet the idiots and bald faced liars blame Trump for the pandemic and said he did nothing.

Texas and Florida are way ahead in distribution of the vaccines of the blue states too.

uhh.. actually Florida is currently leading the US in overall new cases

    https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

and no, Florida definitely does not have lower per capita cases than New York, considering they have fewer people than them, yet are experiencing more day to day cases than them. You can even look at the CDC data yourself (which is the source that the article cites) https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#cases_casesper100klast7days

Currently the state with the highest per capita of new cases is Michigan, and the state with the lowest per capita of new cases is California. If you're looking for a correlation of which states have been the most successful at decreasing their COVID numbers, they are the states that have been able to successfully distribute the vaccine

Here's a good site. It gives each state's Covid test POSITIVITY %, TESTS PER 100k Pop., and
    NEW DAILY CASES,
    Ranked in descending order.

    https://www.beckershospitalreview.c...y-covid-19-test-positivity-rates-july-14.html

    Updated April 23,
here are the 11 lowest positivity rates; I have emboldened the numbers for those testing 500 or more per 100 k.

    Connecticut: 2.9

    New daily cases: 737

    Tests per 100,000: 798.9

Another conservative propaganda thread that won't stand up to the facts for long.

Its only benefit will be to show us how out of touch with reality Trumpsters still are, even after the virus has claimed the lives of over 570,000 Americans in 14 months.

Jeez. Talk about hand picking just the numbers that are convenient to you. Your trying to say that states not wearing masks are doing "as well or better" than states with a mask mandate?
First of all, that is just not true. Florida yesterday had 7414 people test positive yesterday. More than any other state in the US. By a LOT.
Secondly, the article just hand picks. What is the state with the most covid cases in the US? Oh the one that didn't beleive in lockdowns and mask mandates. South Dakota. Highest covid cases per million in the US despite ir being a state with low density of people and very little public transportation.
They went the Sweded route and lost. Sweden ended up with 5 times as many covid cases as Norway per million, and 6 times the rate of Finland.

Look, one can definitley argue for opening up businesses, but let's try to stop lying about it

Yes, good news, but if they are still using the PCR tests to determine the cases, the accuracy of the data is highly suspect.

Here's the pic of mobile morgues, lining the streets of Miami and Austin! Here's all the proof you need that the Governors of Florida and Texas are LYING! :roflol:

Why the laughing guy? If your post was somehow being sarcastic, I missed the joke.

Anyway, I don't think the governors were necessarily lying: it was XXJefferson#51 who was making the claim that they were, "way ahead, in distribution of the vaccines, of the blue states too." Another poster, Darth Gravas, looked it up & found them to be 35th & 38th, among the states, in % of vaccines administered (& gave the link). It was to the same, good site, I linked as my source for other data which showed neither state to be leading the pack.

In fact, Florida was among the highest in its positivity rate for those taking Covid tests (9.9%), & had what looked like the HIGHEST number of average daily NEW CASES, with 6,684. For reference, California's number was 2,825; New York's was 5,238; Michigan's was 5,511. Clovislll added that yesterday, Florida had over 7,400 new cases; I fail to see the humor in that.
