We continue to push the envelope with Putin, as he has clearly stated that is a clear escalation and a redline. This administration has said many times that we would not do something, and then turn around and do it. Like sending Long range missiles, Abrams tanks and now F-16's. He also said he would not send US troops... I wonder when that promise is ended and we are in a full scale war with Russia.

 

He said the Himars were also a red line, then it was the Caesar canon, the medium range missiles and then the tanks.

He also said Wagner's revolt was an absolute red line....

And you are still afraid of him?

 

Are you hoping he acts on any one of those red lines? Or just keep pushing until he finally pulls the trigger, at the expense of potential millions of lives?

 

This is a big mistake because eventually Putin will do what every military in just about every war has done and that's start taking out Ukraine's supply lines. What then?

All I see is the US intentionally escalating this war instead of trying to negotiate an end to it. Why?

Agreed, but the 'go all in and end it' will be itself the massive escalation that we citizens at least hoped to have avoided. If Biden wanted to take this line, it should have been taken prior to the invasion, and fortifying the Ukrainian defensive lines, to prevent an invasion from even taking place.

 

You can't claim to be citizens of the nation that brings freedoms to the world and lie down before one of the worst dictators when he threatens us.

If the US is weak against Russia and lets down its allies in Europe, it will send a signal to Putin that this policy of military expansion scares us and that other neighboring countries could fall without the West reacting.

Worse, China could also see the opportunity to invade Taiwan.

We haven't weakened the Russians, the Russians may be bogged down in Ukraine, but by and large their policy is still anti-Western and anti-NATO. And such a conflict will not end, and the Ukrainian conflict will prolong that much longer conflict.

Furthermore, the conflict would not be necessary if not for European failure to create a true Europe. The EU and all of its promise, in the end turned into a mere Western European bloc, instead of both sides finally coming to an agreement(As like the Congress of Vienna.)

American victory in Europe, is the total end of European tensions in that continent. Both WWI/WWII failed in this endeavor, so too will the latest.
