CIUDAD ACUNA, Mexico/WASHINGTON, Sept 23 (Reuters) - The U.S. special envoy to Haiti resigned in protest in a letter that blasted the Biden administration for deporting hundreds of migrants back to the crisis-engulfed Caribbean nation from a camp on the U.S.-Mexican border in recent days.

Daniel Foote, a career diplomat named to his post in July, said conditions in Haiti were so bad that U.S. officials were confined to secure compounds. He said the "collapsed state" was unable to support the infusion of returning migrants.

"I will not be associated with the United States' inhumane, counterproductive decision to deport thousands of Haitian refugees and illegal immigrants," Foote said in a letter addressed to Secretary of State Antony Blinken that circulated publicly on Thursday.

    My comment:

Maybe they wouldn't be deported to Haiti had they not thrown away their ID's from Brazil and Chile in a ruse to claim asylum.

Biden is pretty down on Haiti and has been for well over a decade. If I recall his quote, he could careless if Haiti sunk into the ocean. He's probably so stupid that he doesn't realize the Dominican Republic would be gone too.

Seems to me that the administration is doing all it can to let these migrants in, but it can't flout the law 100% and this is the result.

Here's a simple question. If they cannot let these Haitians in the US (without you blowing a gasket) and they cannot deport them to Haiti (without you blowing a gasket) and they cannot just gun them all down and leave the carcasses for the vultures (without you celebrating), what exactly would you have them do here??

Actually, it's NOT that simple a question, is it, especially when you are dealing with human beings and not widgets...

Since you already seem to know what I would do in 3 circumstances, you should be able to figure it out on your own.

It’s a wide open border now. The squad and radical Left of the party will shame the administration into submission. FREE citizenship for all. Come one come all.

Psaki can’t even cite any numbers as to who and how many were letting in or not, which means ALL of them. Once they’re here, they sure as **** aren’t leaving. They’ll have a better life on welfare here than anywhere south of here.
