ukie has left the building...tucked tail and ran from the sausage machine.

    https://english.nv.ua/nation/ukrain...event-russian-advance-into-sumy-50498299.html

Now they are 'digging in' to try to protect Sumy as Russian troops have crossed the border and are heading West.

2 days ago a certain group said there was no withdrawal/no encirclement....matter of fact, they said ukie was 'winning'.

 retreating and being ground into sausage is the new winning.:truce:

Occupation of Kursk would have been a pretty good bargaining chip for negotiating a better peace deal. Its too bad Ukraine doesn't have leadership sensible enough to baragin to their strengths when they actually have them. They arent likely to be getting anything but weaker now...

Both sides face ticking clocks. It's just a question of whihc one runs down sooner. For Russia its equipment (because Russia is doing most of the attacking and it's stockpiles are running out), for Ukraine it's munitions and manpower. We'll see what happens after trumps next talk with Putin. If Putin keeps delaying and hedging his bets?

Sounds like it was a rough exit, having such limited logistics routes this was inevitable at some point.

There was no encirclement to begin with....it served its purpose. 70000 Orcs KIA in Kursk, Mafiosi forced to divert upwards of 70000+ from Donbas. Now UA is liberating more territory in the East.

Seems the cheer team got high on their own supply @Giftedone . ISW/Pentagon relying on propaganda bloggers.....like that's gonna stop the sausage grinding. ukie taking the BIG L....now aid will dwindle as the Orange Man Rad tightens the screws. Kursk leverage = negative zero for the bandera hero.

What about any of this is the fault of Ukraine's leadership??

yeah....I'm still at a loss as to what the point of this all was though!!?? I suppose at some point the full story will come out but....it baffled me right from the get go....seemed like a complete waste of time....I mean they've killed an astonishing number Russians and North Koreans and Chechyans which may have been the point but it's weakened them significantly in the east!!

No one has said there was no withdrawal. It was correct that there was no encirclement.

It would be premature to conclude that Ukraine has won the war, but it's clear that Russia lost it some time ago.

Imagine your surprise when you learn the 'astonishing' number of losses weren't on the Russian side. That ukie.pravda 'ganda will get you every time.

A bargaining chip in future negotiations and an attempt to draw Russian forces away from the East

The signature lines of paid propagandists are not of interest.

I agree that nuclear weapons are more effective than sanctions.

    NATO is not at war.

If Putin succeeds in his foolish desire to invade NATO, Russia will be destroyed. There will be nothing left of Russia.

    Incorrect.

    Putin blew up Nordstream.

The only Nazis in Ukraine are the Russians.

I think that what is most astonishing to me is that this news was not reported on Newsmax, Fox, and I didn't even see it mentioned (as such) at RT! I never doubted that Gerasimov was going to take Kursk back, but I am surprised that it has taken the Russians so long to do this.

BTW, it is only 209 miles (336 kilometers) from Sumy to Kiev....

900K dead orcs isn't an astonishing number for a "special military failure" that was supposed to last 3 days?

I suspect Mathematics wasn't a strong point of yours ...Bill?:)

Oh, c'mon... all my long life until February 2022, most of the Western world, including the United States, spelled it "Kiev". Hell, I guess if we're going to get snotty about it, we should call it Київ ....

    Happy now?
