As far as I know, there is no research being done on ultra low amplitude gravity wave patterns. The research would be easy enough to do. One would vibrate small dense objects, such as small osmium spheres. A number of them would be placed in various patterns and sometimes all be vibrated at the same frequency while at other times, they would be vibrated at various frequencies. They would also be vibrated in various sets of different directions. I don't know whether or not we would discover anything significant. However, the only way to know whether or not there is important knowledge in this direction would be to try.
