If you honestly think people here in the US will go along with donating 2% of their salary you are crazy. It will never happen. Nor does the UN have any authority to levy taxes.

No, the UN doesn't, but if it was a part of a treaty that the US passed, then yes the UN would get that 2%. Not that I think this would pass, but yeah.
That's not how treaties work. The US, like many countries, signs treaties for the PR boost and then just ignores them. Treaties are not national laws.
2% of our Federal Budget would be about $80 billion dollars. I think we should instead spend $80 billion solving our own global climate change problems rather than give it to the UN. HOWEVER... $80 billion is a pittance when you realize any serious effort to go green in America would cost Trillions. Anyway... spend the $80 billion and install a dozen new nuclear reactor power plants in America. But doing nothing accomplishes nothing.

I would be in favor of paying UN taxes, if we can also bill them for enforcing UN resolutions. Since America provides the overwhelming number of troops and material, we should receive proper payment. No they want 2% of the economy. That’s 2% of 14.66 trillion dollars or $293.2 billion dollars. And that is just from the US. With an annual world GDP of around $60 trillion we are talking about a UN slush fund of around $1.2 trillion. The anthropogenic global warming scam has always been about giving the UN the power of taxation so it can finally become independent of its member states. The house voting to defund the IPCC has just shown the UN how precarious its current position with the lack of taxation power is. So we have entered endgame. If they were ever going to get anyting out of the billions of other peoples money they have invested in the global warming scam its now or never.
Perhaps you should look at all the fraud and scandals surrounding the politicized "scientific" studies of the effects of humas on global warming. It would cause any reasonable person to be skeptical
