Uncle Ho wasn't truly Communist

It was explained already here that USA help to KMT was not successful because of communist infiltration in USA government. Also USA should send troops in China at the end of WW2 not to Just allow Soviets to arm Chinese communists with the weapons of former Japanese army.

 

Got some credible historians to back that up? I've never read anything credible that comes close to supporting it.

After 4 years of war and 400,000 dead there was basically zero chance this was going to happen. It is a fantasy, so using it to judge real events is pointless & misleading.

 

You have many different sources in the Topic how the governments of Roosevelt and Truman mismanaged strategy against communism.

It was simply a decision of FDR and Truman that the policy of containment of communism would not apply to far east. Specially FDR was very deluded about the real danger of communism. Also examples from Europe ( Greece, Chezchoslovakia ) demonstrate how easy it was to trick Roosevelt.

Because of this later international communism felt Strong enough to start Korean war and also Vietnam war. With KMT and Chiang in China they would never be able to do it.

There were to many of them... Yet they prove that in the period of WW2 and at the first stages of cold war USA foreign policy was perverted by communists and served in fact the interests of USSR in many ways. Both in Europe and in the far east, however even more in the last case.

 

Of course, any that did not feel that way about him fled the country, were executed, or were sent to re-education camps.

I don't think "reverence" really applies, when such is made over the barrel of a gun.
