United Airlines to Require All U.S. Employees Be Vaccinated Against Covid-19

I've never been told anything except about 3 dozen anonymous notifications. And im standing right next to people for hours, even inside unventilated semi trailers. So after almost 2 years of this, I hope you don't mind if I say you can take your Covid preventive measures and shove it

Natural antibodies and don't need it? It's known people can get covid more than ones. There even was a person who had 2 types of covid at the same time (and died).

And not to worry. People can set up their own airline for the unvaxxed. Nobody is going to go all fascist and inject people who don't want to injected.... like white people did that to black people in the past (with a known rather deadly virus).

can't smoke on a plane either... people are in a enclosed area and they can set rules they feel protect their customers

I think the question is, should government decide or should businesses have the freedom to be able to decide for themselves

Well previously the conservative christians were happy that they could refuse serve to gay people who want a gay themed cake.... out of a sense that business should be free to do business with who they want. I'm licking their tears of joy when they see that such idea's can also be applied to those who refusing service to anti-vaxxers.

 

if one supports freedom, they need to support the airlines freedom to choose

if one does not agree with their choice, do not fly on their airline

Recurring cases are incredibly rare. Dying from a recurrence is insanely rare. I don't live life by outliers, nor should any sane human. Only people that are so scared that they are willing to give up critical thinking would follow this crap.

Homosexuality wasn’t even legal across all of the US until 2003 — one of the current justices on the court voted to allow it to remain a crime.

Kind of like what the right was screaming at the left for four years — “if you don’t love it, leave”. Strange to see the reverse happen so quickly

 

I wouldn’t say the analogy of “if you don’t like the country then leave “ is applicable here. That isn’t asking people to risk their lives to stay employed

Whipping up this fear and hysteria over something that has about the same chance as lightning to kill you, and then "strongly encouraging" businesses and people to do something based on that exaggerated fear, is coercion.

I completely agree -- not sure where you personally stand on this though, but it seems this argument is ignored by many of the Democrat, liberal, or progressive persuasions when it comes to minimum wage and other such considerations. If employment truly is voluntary, much of that argument is refuted unless one is a hypocrite. Like it or not, consistency in position and argument is a problem for both major political parties and their supporters. I'm a conservative, so yes, I believe employment is voluntary. If you don't like the conditions/wage/etc, negotiate for better or find another job. So yes, I believe that employers have the right to require vaccination as a condition of employment, even though I don't necessarily like the implications.
