I saw on the news yesterday that the b...h got what she wanted.
No difference between Labor and Liberals, as long as money can be made,
    mission accomplished!
What a shame for Gillard, especially after the Japan nuclear disaster.
    Cheers

India already has uranium supply sources. In reality, India will get all the uranium it wants, so there`s no point closing the gate after the horse has vacated the premisis.

Yes we should be selling bloody THORIUM - safer, easier to get rid of and a shorter half life

AND you cannot make it into bloody weapons!

But I should have guessed because it looks like they are going to re-open Mary Kathleen

Once refined uranium is the most dangerous substance on the planet. You literaly can't get rid of it There is nothing more dangerous to all life on earth than refined uranium. We don't need it, apart from small amounts for medicinal uses and some other applications we should leave the bloody stuff in the ground.

I can't speak for Australia since I don't know how sunny and windy you may experience it down there, but over here in Canada if the Greens had their way with things like solar as their centerpiece, they would spike the electricity rates so much, a lot of people would resort to chopping wood to run their own dirty private furnaces and generators.

I thought for a second you were talking about plutonium. Moreover, uranium does not just stay in the ground. It naturally decays and converts to things like Radon which then fizzles out of the ground and into your home. Now, why would you want things like Radon in your home?
