Here's what I saw on the news awhile back: due to how numerous US Mail employees have been in fear for their lives when they've been delivering mail to addresses that display even a single Confederate Flag due to how Confederate Flag displayers are prone to be violent, a US Mail delivery person has said that each and every US Mail employee will no longer set foot in close proximity of any place that displays one or more Confederate Flags.

Sorry, quick check does not find any references to such a decision or policy.

ANd either way, it has nothing to do with the military, nor with terrorism.

Did you get lost on your way to the Conspiracy Theory thread?

I'd support such a decision, though I don't think any such has ever been made. Postal workers are not obligated to deliver mail if a big dog is at the box

If I worked for the PO and if a guy put out a big sign with a Skull and Crossbones on it, or a radioactivity/hazard symbol or the quote "Trespassers will be shot, survivors will be shot again" he'd have to come to the Post Office for his Junk mail. I feel the same about the Confederate flag. The guy might shoot me for daring to deliver his Obamacare notice.

The problem is, you are overlaying personal opinion onto public servants who are paid to do a job.

Under your claims, a postal carrier could refuse to pick up mail at the door of somebody with a rainbow flag, stating he would be afraid he might get AIDS from them. Or from delivering in a gang neighborhood for fear of getting attacked. Or from delivering anything from Columbia or Mexico, for fear that it might have drugs inside.

Postal carriers are to do their job. Besides, as far as I can tell this is a phantom report in the first place. I could find no documentation that it is true at all.

I don't have a link; we could ask PO employees about this and also if they are obligated to deliver mail in the proximity of areas that have pollution (including tobacco air pollution), drunk driving arrests, and illegal drugs.

The source was Ruckus. Ruckus is a local PBS TV news show that's sort of a talk show that is broadcasted in the Kansas City and nearby surrounding metro area on KCPT (Kansas City Public Television).

Well, maybe they can get their mail from the Confederate States of America that they seem to love so much.

Thanks for the laugh. This is so stupid its funny.

But if it were true, my mail lady would have to stop delivering her own mail.

Like another post he has made recently, it is not true. I have tried to research this claim, and found not a shred of evidence that it existed before his post here. Just like his other post on the Democrats blowing up the levees in New Orleans, it is all conspiracy theory nonsense, and he has not been able to source anything he has said, simply that he "heard it somewhere".
