It appears Obama making people dependent on the government is working. Here comes Obama with his socialist agenda http://news.yahoo.com/us-poverty-track-rise-highest-since-1960s-112946547--finance.html?_esi=1
In the War on Poverty, poverty is winning. If the government hadn't made war on it, it probably would have continued to go down as it had been doing for over 150 years.
An interesting companion piece to this story is how the 1% are starting to lose money as well: http://www.cnbc.com/id/48257611 The saying will have to be tweaked: Now, it's "The rich get poorer, and the poor get poorer!" Well, say what you will about Obama, but at least he's consistent!
Obama's failed economic policy is causing this. Obama wants this so people are dependent on government.
Yeah, the million jobs lost per month under the Republican economic regime of deregulation and massive tax cuts was just a "temporary blip". I guess.
President Obama's failures simply build upon the ineptitude of policymakers towards poverty. Standard's of living increase the most when markets are primarily in control of the means of production, especially derivatives of such like human capital.
Poverty here is nothing like poverty in nations like Africa and India, the system has faults but in most cases no one is unable to eat and in an emergency get medical care regardless of how poor one is. Not saying being poor is not without issues but I manage okay and am comfortable. If I was in India my cerebral palsy would have made me a cripple, I would not eat and likely have died from exposure or starvation in the street by now and would unlikely have much more even if there was the kindness of strangers as a beggar. So lets put poverty in perspective.
Here's the chart. We all know Obama is the Messiah, but maybe you can explain EXACTLY what Obama was supposed to do to lower unemployment in the first 90 days of his office? http://articles.businessinsider.com...485008_1_unemployment-rate-obama-election-day
Bain Capital bought sick companies that were headed for bankruptcy. The alternative to making them run more efficiently is for them to go out of business entirely and all the workers lose their job.

90 days? it has been over 3 years and we still have over 8% unemployment and Obama does more to stop job growth that he does to help it.
