There was no logic for Assad gassing his own people, since his forces were winning each time he was being accused. Why would he want to destroy the gains he made in defeating the terrorists, by being bombed by the US?

The terrorists on the other hand, could only stop their losses to Assad by having the Americans bomb Assad's army. So they committed false flag terrorists attacks, and that gave the Americans the excuse they needed to bomb.

The first time Obama blamed Assad, the truck carrying the gas components into Syria, was stopped at the Turkish/Syrian border.

By the time the Turkish Intelligence agents arrived and told them to let the truck go through, Gulen's newspaper Zaman got a whiff of it and Erdogan's opposition found out. They made a stink about it in the Turkish parliament, so there is no way that Obama didn't know that Assad had nothing to do with the bombing and that the terrorists were being supplied by Turkey.

The terrorists at the time of the false flag attack, were outside of Damascus and the city was packed with Christian refugees. Had Obama bombed the Syrian army and had the terrorists entered Damascus, it would have turned into the biggest massacre in history.

To stop that from happening, the Pope asked Vladimir Putin to do something - and he did.
He had the Russian laboratories check the chemical components, and it proved that they weren't in Assad's arsenal. They sent it to the British labs, and the British government panicked and told Obama not to go ahead - thank God.

You call my question empty, but your lack of answer is the truly empty part. Since you praise Russia and condemn the US as cruel the question is valid and deserves a valid answer to "Why are you still here". We both know why you are still here.....if you lived in Russia and you said that Russia was cruel and the US was kind, you'd find out just how cruel Russia really is when the KGB kicks down your door and drags you off to KGB HQ to answer some questions. You better have the right answers. There are no 1st or 2nd amendments, nor any 4th or 6th amendments. That my friend is why you're here, many men died to defend those freedoms.

    https://historyofrussia.org/stalin-killed-how-many-people/

Educate yourself. A few acts of kindness doesn't make up for the 60 million citizens that the Russian Government disposed of merely because they opposed Stalin. The current President of Russia was head of the notorious KGB starting in 1996, no doubt he knows what to do with dissidents.....a touch polonium will fix that. Those are the folks you admire for being kind. So I ask again...."Why are you still here". Please give us all valid reasons you don't pack your things and move there? Or did I spell them out already.

It's the hitting his ankles with the night stick that really gave it away. The Police have used collapsible metal batons since the 1970's, when the wooden nightstick went out. Then there's the real problem with his story regarding his driver's license, he didn't say whether he was using a foreign driver's license and had all his paperwork and passport with him.

I take it as that, but also understand it's done as a public relations move not out of genuine kindness.

I won't leave because I love my country. I cry for my country, but I still love it. I get pissed at elected officials who won't even honor their oath of office, but I still love my country. I know that my country and the government are two separate things, one a necessary evil.

I know politicians are not the place to look for honorable men, or that the random honorable men in politics who make it to Washington will be so disgusted and frustrated once they get there and see how it works that they quit and go home. The greedy ones go for the power trip.

Plus, I'm old and I don't speak Russian.

The older you are the closer the end is, by statistics. I have a faint hope that the good guys will win, and I have friends here and would prefer to die with them.

I understand your frustration. If I had my way we would take all of Congress, tar and feather them, put them on a barges and tow them to the middle of the Pacific ocean. Then we start over, but what I want matters little. The best we can do is send as many incumbents packing as we can. We can't do worse with all new people.

Why would they be kind to the US who is continuously trying to destroy Russia with sanctions? The gifts are a matter of common courtesy at a time when we need help. You're thinking of how Washington is using and weaponizing the corona virus through sanctions against Venezuela and Iran. But in Washington they're b*stards. Let's not relate everyone to them.

Anyway I'm sure Russia is charging Western rates for anything it sends - and the dollar will go far in Russia - so they're not losing anything.

I have news for you, the Russian Federation is not the Soviet Union, we are. It moved here years ago. The ideologues in Washington like Soros and the others, are no different than the ideologues who took over Russia like Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, and Khruschev and who killed tens of millions - mostly Christians.

Why do you think we're supporting terrorists in Syria when they're committing genocide and killing hundreds of thousands of Christians - and why do you think we hate Assad for protecting them? As for gulags, we pay other nations to have them because they are against the law here.

As for Pravda the Soviet Unions news service, well all our MSM are owned by the same 6 corporations, and they are all owned by the same people and they all give us the same lies. They are the ones who support our elected officials, so that our government and our media are one and the same thing. Need I go on!

What makes you think those "6 corporations" exercise any control over the content of the media outlets they own?

Are you saying that the Russians who didn't like the Soviet Union didn't like Russia, or the Germans who didn't like the Nazi party didn't like Germany?

As for me, I think they were the real patriots.

He didn't tell us anything. For example, is he Swedish or is he Turkish, Arab or what not from Sweden. I know the immigrants are very rude to police in Sweden. Also what kind of clothes was he wearing - if any, and was there anyone else in the car with him. If there was, then who was it? Did he do anything that would be against the law like carrying pot or drinking and couldn't be arrested because of diplomatic immunity. Also what state was he in, since every state has it's own laws.

He had to have done something for the police to tag him that way.

At 73 years of age I have seen more of life than you have. But I am sure you don't get the implication of that.

Do you know what "chronological order" means? Apparently not. I guess the term went out since the new millennium.

I'm only 11 years behind you. If you insulted them the way you insulted me, little wonder why you were treated poorly. I grew up in the turbulent 1960's.
