But those children must “wean off” any drugs they are taking, and they will not be legally able to begin a new course of treatment.'

'Under the bill, banned procedures for the purpose of gender reassignment include' slicing off the breasts of young girls 'and surgeries that would sterilize the child, as well as drugs that “induce transient or permanent infertility.”'

'A majority of Americans oppose puberty-blocking medications and hormonal treatments for trans children, according to a Washington Post-KFF poll. '

So dead children are less important than giving some poor child appropriate medical treatment?

 

If they are serious they can do it without drugs, hormones, and surgery.
Later when they are legal adults, they can pursue that path.

 

And by then the secondary sex characteristics are far more difficult to hide/ remove/surgically alter. This is why puberty blockers are used - to give kids time to make up thier minds - if they change thier minds go off the blockers and puberty resumes
