Jesus! China created this Pandemic and now the United States has the Illustrious Honor of having the most cases of Coronavirus in the WORLD, IF! China's numbers are to be believed.

A side effect of freedom, it never has been free.

Herd immunity inbound which is a good thing long term.

Let push thru this and get on the road back to normal.

Highly deadly and disastrous to our economy when the medical infrastructure crashes but I am afraid it what's going to happen.

Italy will surpass us, their death rate is far to high for that to be a close count. I suspect their numbers are closer to 300k or more.

China's numbers are not to be believed, but they did manage to curb the virus by welding people into their homes...Americans are just not so easily welded I suppose.

Well, we also have a lot more people than European nations. I wonder what that looks like as a percentage of their population?

I don't think anything has changed, we will keep increasing until our medical system can't manage it any longer and mass death will proceed. We have a lot more money than everyone else but we can't buy the time we need to get enough resources.

Hold on tight, it's going to be a **** show.

The economy was hit with a disastrous blow when the group think hit and it was shut down.

1.4% death rate in the US right now. Deaths will continue but confirmed cases will outpace them and the death rate will continue to drop. It's not highly deadly.

    Well, no, I don't believe China's numbers.......

Interesting to note on the chart is the total deaths and the total deaths per 1 million population. The US is doing well in that regard. We may have the most cases, but we have less deaths than China, Italy, Iran, Spain, and France. And as far as deaths per 1 million population, we have less than Italy, Spain, Iran, France, Switzerland, UK, the Netherlands, and Belgium.

Yes but you're missing the main point, we can't handle it at a fast pace. People will start dying from other illness due to lack of a medical resources. This is a time and numbers game we're playing.

I would like to add the fatality rate will increase if we overwhelm the hospitals.

Canada has 3977 cases for about 38 Million people and Mexico has 475 for about 128 Million people and the United States has 82,000 cases for around 350 Million people. Were like the Italy and Spain of North America thanks to the Liberal Sanctuary States of Washington, New York and California. No Wonder Canda and Mexico closed the Border with us, they don't want Coronavirus carrying Liberal Illegal Aliens trying to escape and Trespass into their Countries and become a burden on their Economies, Healthcare system and Tax payers.

What's so hard to understand about 'essential' workers only, everyone else, stay home?

If it weren't for the fact that so many end up needing hospitalization, it wouldn't be an issue at all. It'd be a matter of taking a few days off work to recover. That's not what we're dealing with here.

But okay, let's just keep spreading the virus until the majority of the susceptible end up dead or hospitalized, and the hospitals are just completely overwhelmed (hope you don't need an ICU or medical treatment not related to this virus anytime soon).

    Brilliant

That's encouraging, we may be "flattening the curve" I certainly hope so.

This doesn't even make sense, Illegals don't travel internationally.

Americans are fatter and sicker than ever in spite of easier access to healthcare and record pharm sales.

As the US private sector of business and the US Military comes online in the fight I do not think it will be over whelmed. Dyson in the UK designed and started production on respirators in under 10 days for one small example of what has occurred. Private industry is a beast of efficiency when it is let loose. Add the US Military which is such an incredible force and can bring such resources to the issue and this country will be fine. The death rate inthe US will be well under 1% when all is said and done. Even then it will be lower than stated as we will not know the true number of infections for years if ever.

That's true we also larger so we have a long ways to go, 3 weeks ago it was like 500 people. This is just the beginning of a long ride. The expectation is 20-50 percent will be infected. That's 64 to 160 million people in the US or @ 1.4 death ratio 896,000 - 2,240,000 death in the US. They're not building temp hospitals everywhere for show people.

I am glad you **think** we won't be overwhelmed. I guess all the medical and government officials saying other wise are ignorant of their own capability.

So you're saying that Covid-19 was smuggled from Mexico or Canada?
