Aggressive US foreign policies are now driving away former allies as they move closer and closer to China. This will leave Australia in an increasingly weak and vulnerable position if we continue to submit to US demands.

"Pressure on Japan and South Korea to sacrifice vital oil supplies from Iran to meet United States policy interests is driving the US allies further towards China. Tokyo faces aversion to nuclear power and political rumblings over kow-towing to Washington. Meanwhile, Seoul - perhaps believing the US campaign will create larger security problems - will reject assertions that punishing Tehran impacts on North Korea."

"As they wake up to bypassing the US dollar as an intermediary in their oil trade with Asia, Gulf leaders know that in a volatile world the "people's currency" smells as comforting as a cup of fresh Arabica."

Aggressive US foreign policy you say, against Iran! LOL

What is agressive is Iran denying the impartial inspections of their nuclear programs. What have they got to hide!? Its because Iran does not want to follow the international laws that other countries HAVE to assume and take measures against whatever it is Iran IS hiding - because they ARE hiding something otherwise why act like they are hiding something.

To ignore the context of foreign policy and pick a single moment in a long process and label it as an indication of US intent is blatant misdirection, and in effect a lie.

Agreed, I wasn`t too keen on wasting too much time on specifics for closed minds.

The US controls not only Europe but all the world through financial, military and political measures.

No wonder the Europeans are bending their knees to the US request on Iranian oil, the Europeans have burnt the shirts of their backs and i would dare to say that they would even attempt poll dancing if the US requested it.

Big bully (US) is correct and i liken them to rome 2000 years ago, they are strangling the whole Earth and all its people, trying to impose a pseudo democracy that they think they live in.

Well if what they left behind in Iraq is democracy i'm a monkeys uncle.

Someone should really break the bad news to those guys and tell them the truth that they are actually not a democracy and are living one mans dream they are actually living Friedmanism - Milton that is, sounds abit like Marxism or Lenonism doesn't it? Well its just as bad imo.

The day the US falls will spell freedom for the whole world.

The thing that really gets me is the US wants to have a bigger presence in the pacific because of China's rise to power.

This is how they operate in no time as soon as some new kid (China) appears on the block the US wants to barricade the new kid with weapons of mass destruction and what not, just to let him know who is boss.

This is how they greet someone who has the potential to become even bigger than them economically with armaments.

If only the US could see itself in the mirror, now there would be someone bigger than Bin Ladin or the Taliban, you want to see a terrorist with blood on his hands look at the US.

Instead of leading the whole world into peace and democracy being the power they are, they spread death and destruction where ever they go.

China is our biggest client when it comes to minerals, the US wants us to extend out our hand for the hand shake with China while the other hand is on the gun holster.

I say p!ss off to the US we dont want you here fullstop, go back to your homeland and leave the rest of the world in peace.

If Ron Paul gets elected that's exactly what will happen. I'm all for it too. A lot of us Americans are for it. We're sick of our government policing the world and trying to be the puppet master. Not only is it destructive, costs lives, and creates massive quantities of resentment, it's also terribly expensive and we can't afford it. Ron Paul has a huge following among the younger Americans. It's just a matter of time, and attrition, and all these old ass wind bags will be replaced by the younger generations who want change. I just hope they don't become corrupted on their way to the senate, congress, courts, and white house...

For all our sakes i hope you are right.

For an American president to earn my respect 100% he has to do three things,

    1. Take back control of the Federal Reserve bank from those private greedy bankers.

    2. Get rid of all the wall street advisers that have been there for the last couple of decades or more.

    3. STOP the war mongering.

If he does all those things then he is a true patriot not only to the USA but the world in general, and he will have my undivided respect.

And who will be defending us from Attack by Indonesia, Japan again!, communist China or anyone else who wants to then?

    Answer: no one.

I want the US here...it's our only hope.

ANZUS Treaty is all we have to stop our enslavement by an invader.

Indonesia has a much bigger military than we do...14th largest in the world.

They're buying new subs from Korea, and the latest Russian fighter jets.
With our aid money?...the billions we give them every few years.
Some of those troops will likely be the ones who'll be execution-shredding Aussies Chan and Sukumaran.

    Man,
where do you get those information from?
They might want us to attack one day, if we allow the US to use our soil for their illfated sick military presence in our region. It looks more like it, that we are the threat to others, and not the other way around....
