Utah NG troops are illegally deployed on the WH lawn RIGHT NOW.

The UCMJ does not protect him, because he is having to follow an unlawful order. Trump has not invoked the Insurrection at that gives him the legal authority to mobilize the NG unit. He has no authority to deploy any troops on American soil without invoking the A

Congress could authorize, which it has not.

The May could ask for the deployment of the unit but has not.

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, in a letter this past Tuesday that was declassified yesterday, explicitly addresses the national guard and tells them that Trump is *not* their Commander in Chief.

JakeStarkey, this seems like another example of your TDS.

I am sure the Utah National Guard is all too happy to take up the call. How is this illegal or unconstitutional?

"Deploying troops" is perfectly acceptable when the place they are being deployed to is already under your control.
Unless you are going to argue this is some sort of civil liberties violation because they are surrounding the area right around the White House, which would be a huge stretch to try to argue.

Oh, the TDS of the President's supporters is very real, my friend.

Since several of the Utah NG people have complained formally and formally to their chain of command, we can ignore your surety on the matter.

The issue is one of Law. The President cannot order the deployment in DC based in his own power: that he did so is illegal abrogation of power.

He must invoke the Insurrection Act or have Congress give him the power or the Mayor of DC request it.

    None of that has happened.

The President can call them out any time he wants to. That has always been the case, and nobody died and left the military to decide what is constitutional and what isn't. They've been used many times in the past, from Jefferson's embargoes to Lincoln's illegal war to bayoneting the Bonus Army to desegregating Arkansas high schools. If it is illegal, then there are several Amendments that were never passed legally and all legal decisions based on them rendered invalid and unenforceable. If the Democratic Party traitors want to go down that road with their insurrection and treason so be it. The Founders had a simple and relatively non-violent method of handling traitors and fifth columnists: They deported them.

The President has no authority to do any such thing, Farnsworth.

He has to operate by the law, and he is not doing that.

The insurrection and treason is by Trump against the Constitution and the law.
