Yep, that's about average or even a little below what you can expect each and every month in Chicago. A slow September produced 58 homicides and 273 other non-fatal ( so far ) shootings. Just one Democratically controlled city with strict gun control does this kind of carnage. And it's not Whitey, the NRA, bump stocks, the NRA or the Tea Party producing the body count. Then there is Baltimore, Gary, Camden, Birmingham, Jackson, East. St. Louis etc etc etc and so on.
Early box scores show 3 killed and a further 3 wounded from Friday night. Early AM results pending . Last year 7 were killed during the corresponding weekend. Can be bangers meet the challenge?
Update Chicago: As of this AM the weekend box score is 5 dead and 19 wounded. Just another "average" early October to boot.

This is a disaster! Trump promised action. Where's the outrage? Why don't we demand action? We're wasting energy on stupid Trump-hate. It's past the time for partisan hate. Something has got to be done about this. Maybe some of these guys can't be saved. Maybe their lives are a lost cause. There are younger kids though. Maybe it's not too late for them. We have to find an answer for this.
My nephew lost a son to this crap. It's not about them being criminals. It's why they become criminals. Many have no hope to succeed in our culture. That's what they're taught to believe. Culture teaches them that crime is their only path to success. We should prove to them that there is another way.
Uh huh. These criminals want easy money, expensive cars and huge flat screen televisions and other high ticket luxury items. Illegal Drugs are a fast track to easy money for people that do not want minimum wage or just can't or do not want to go for a College / University degree.
OK. What's your solution? Do you just accept the carnage? These guys don't start life as potential criminals. They grow into that role. Why do they do that? What about their innocent victims? Do we just write them off too? Do we just tell them: Sorry, you grew up in the wrong neighborhood, or you're the wrong color, or something?
No. It is NOT a do nothing scenario. End the so called "War on Drugs" Educate young people to avoid harmful Drugs and even Tobacco. Make those Drugs available and produced by pharmaco. Drugs are a self correcting problem anyway, addicts tend to overdose. Once you eliminate the profit motive, most other Drug problems will dry up. Guns were never the real problem anyway.
Maybe so. I'm not a big fan of government prohibitions of drugs. They do ruin lives, though. I don't know what the solution is for that, either. I'm just appalled by the condition of our cities. I think something has to be done about it.
If we end the wipe-every-nose welfare state then yes, drugs are a self correcting problem The drug addicts will simply die from exposer or starvation when they are too strung out to take care of themselves But society will never do that so the next best thing is to keep the drugs illegal and try to save a few of them
Actually many of them are born into "crop failure" You couldn't give them a job and they wouldn't hold it. Banging is what appeals to them and is what they like.

With mid month approaching, the bangers have racked up 26 confirmed dead and another 110 wounded for September so far. With 3 dead and 7 wounded by 9PM on Friday, the weekend shizer show could be a big one. The current trend suggests the bangers might even reach 60 kills is they have a couple of big weekends.
