A couple years back, Victoria's Secret got the bright idea that ad campaigns featuring fat women, ugly women and men dressed like women would make their product fly off the shelves. Looking at the carnage of that stunning and brave move, we see that they were able to evaporate 70% of their market capitalization in just two years. Impressive!




Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. Victoria Secrets hateful bigoted white supremacist management just reversed course and is bringing back the hotties. Now is the time for all progressives to rise up and fight the patriarchy. Bring the fatties back!

No I didn't think about that. I just looked at the Victoria Secrets before and after photos and I knew what I liked. Apparently their customers agreed with me.

Of course I never went to an Ivy League school like the managers of Victoria Secret. They are are obviously much wiser than me. Still I am perplexed as to why they changed course. Just to be hateful, exclusionary and discriminatory?

Why so negative against overweight women and trans-women? Can you only wank looking at images of emaciated models?

 

It was refreshing seeing a more varied selection of body types in advertising. Far more realistic.

I'm not sure what else they've done that would be considered woke but I didn't have any problem with that.

 

Indeed, especially when a huge number of American women are overweight/obese. Realistically, most people can only be as thin as those models if they starve themselves. There have been other advertising campaigns that have used non-emaciated models — like Dove. It is more realistic. I wouldn’t call that woke. Many clothing companies have different ranges from petite to plus-size.

As far as Victoria’s Secret using trans-women models. Here’s the first trans-woman model they used. She’s gorgeous and if Victoria’s Secret wants to cater to the trans-woman market. Good for them.

This is yet another thread started to dump on and malign transgender people. Apparently, being overweight makes you a target of these intolerant people as well. I dare any one of the ones mocking overweight models and transgender models to post a picture of themselves so we can mock them for how they look. It’s not nice.
