Is that what you think they (your brown exotic pets) will allow you to do, once they have you by the short hairs? Do you think you will be free to form such thoughts, then speak them out loud?

If you answered 'yes' to any of the above, you're too naive to be discussing the matter.

This is the 'live and let live' he's okay with.

These defenders of the faith (Progressives) are too clueless and naive to even bring us coffee while we discuss it.

So if I don't suffer from Islamaphobia, I'm naive? Nice closed circle you have there.

Anyone who uses the word "islamaphobia" is either a) a muslim, or b) painfully naive, with literally zero insight or knowledge of what is really being said and hoped for.

Not as stupid as flogging people who have opposite views as the Saudi regime?

That's nice. But nevertheless, one does not have to personally observe something to gain knowledge of it. This is obvious and not something I should have to say to another rational adult.

    Witness:

    http://www.nielsenlab.org/2016/02/teaching-evolution-in-the-middle-east/

"The most egregious example is perhaps Saudi Arabia, which in effect has a complete ban against the teaching of evolution. Evolution is not mentioned in K-12 education, except in the more advanced biology course in 12th grade, where in textbooks it is introduced as a fallacious and blasphemous theory, using the following introduction to the topic: “Nevertheless in the West appeared what is called ‘the theory of evolution’’ which was derived by the Englishman Charles Darwin, who denied Allah’s creation of humanity, saying that all living things and humans are from a single origin. We do not need to pursue such a theory because we have in the Book of Allah the final say regarding the origin of life, that all living things are Allah’s creation (1)”

See? You just learned something about Saudi Arabia, while sitting in your home.

    I wasn't "talking". I asked you a simple question.

Is there a reason you refused to answer?

No you asked me my “background” on Islam, then asked me where I was stationed, implying your question relates to my military background. Which makes no sense to me, hence my question.

Please restate your question more clearly.

    LOL ok.

    I'll ask a second time.

What is your background regarding the religion of Islam?

what did Christians do when they reached 10% in the USA, convert or kill the Indians... sadly it happens, but I do not blame all Christians or all Muslims, but I do blame the fanatics of each

religious fanatics want religious war as they think their God is on their side and they will win, both sides lose in a religious war imo

if religious fanatics could just be happy they are allowed to believe what they want and not care what others believe, life would be good

I do not want Muslim or Christian religious fanatics here, good ones can stay, violent ones have to go

let's replace "in God we Trust" on out money and replace it with "in Freedom we trust" - the freedom to believe whatever you want to believe as long you do not harm others

I’m a 50-year-old college-educated person who has studied Islam formally and informally over the years. Took comparative religion and Arab history classes, and have done a lot of other reading over the years because of discussions on this board.

Am I an Islamic scholar? No. Am I reasonably familiar with it? Yes.

Keep in mind Islam is at war with many religions. Jewish, Christian, and Islam.

Try being a Shia in Saudi Arabia.

Who are Christians or Jews at war with today?

Last I checked, only one Jihad was created.

    Call a spade a spade.

(Gives you a round of applause)

That's great. How were your experiences in Islamic nations like Saudi Arabia?

PS: Don't wear a dress there. It'll get you arrested (if you are a female)

Never been, but I’m aware of much of what goes on there. I have very little use for the Saudis.

    What’s your point?

So the only people that can have opinions on Islam are people who have been to KSA?

    Wow.

Never mind that you are confusing particular expressions of Islam with Islam itself. Do extreme interpretations of Christianity reflect mainstream Christianity? So why do you think Wahhabism reflects mainstream Islam?

I could care less for your war on Christianity. I'm an atheist. Your hatred of them lands on deaf ears.

    You're just ignorant, is all.

Once again, you proved my point. There's no need to reply.

A rather loaded question. What is "extreme'? how is 'extreme" defined?

If I would show you that the majority of Muslims in muslim countries think certain harmless human behaviors should be met with penalty of death ... are those views "extreme", or mainstream? I would say they define themselves as mainstream, by their prevalence, wouldn't you?

here are a few such "mainstream" ideas:

    - criminalization of homosexuality
    - criminalization and death for apostasy
    - decriminalization of domestic abuse against women

There are some "mainstream" Muslim beliefs for you.

    Ok...

So hundreds of years ago Christians had an issue with mass killings. I get it.

We're actually in 2018 now where another religion has waged war against others.

    You tracking?
