    Great to hear :)

I was referring to rifles. IMO a AR15 is the equivalent of what those Minutemen stood on the Greene with in defense of their homes. If I offended I apologize, I do that sometime :(

My favorite MA band by far

Seen them twice, had tickets in May for a 3rd but it was cancelled.

I like Texas, but 20 years ago they had the most confusing liquor laws in the country. :D

First off, there is nothing any anonymous person on a message board can say that could possible offend me.
Second, you mention guns so I, obviously couldn’t have been aware you were referring to ARs. Yes, while they are banned as far as being able to buy one going forward, no one had to give up any currently owned ARs. So there’s plenty of them in the state. Just shot one at my club yesterday. And we didn’t “give them up”. The AG banned them.
I like a few songs from Dropkick Murphy’s. Living here they are overplayed quite a bit.

Yep. July 4th should be the Second Independence Day for Americans.
It is time for them break out of lockdown and hit the streets.

I understand. heat isn't for everyone. I spent a lot of time in the ME. It's like living in the south west, AZ, NV or S cal deserts, except you aren't a citizen, and it gets hotter there. TX gets warm, but it isn't over a 100 everyday for 6 months. And at least where we are, there isn't much humidity. TX is a pretty big place, so a lot of diversity here as well. So far, our local country folks have been pretty reasonable about how they are choosing to deal with things here. We might have to wear a mask, but things aren't going to shut down, at least yet.

The public schools are opening on time in August here. People just cannot keep living as if they were dead and immobile.

I think you will see that occur. We neutrally rebel against being told what to do. Grand heritage of that :)

We just had a report of a kid returning from Florida (with the virus) and attending an impromptu "graduation party" and infecting a bunch of people.

People returning from "hit" areas like Florida, California,Texas,Arizona etc. are supposed to self quarantine but of course that isn't happening

That's exactly what happened with travelers returning from Europe in February and March and lead to those horrific numbers in NY back then

You know the state and federal government do not have the power to force healthy people to quarantine - right?
You can't be held against your will because you -might- be sick.

You can, actually. If you are in the house when someone else in the house gets quarantined, you are stuck there, and it's legal.

How did they manage that during the Ebola scare then?

It is so nice to hear that some communities know how to work together. I hope it stays that way for you all. It seems that most of the rest of the country is struggling to keep up.

    Do you
even know what Lexington and Concord were about?

It was ammunition for CANONS stored at Concord

You see actual military ordnance were all the Brits cared about.

And the reason that the Brits eventually left Boston?

    Again...Canons emplaced on the heights

The Redcoats did withdraw from Concorde due to militia cannon fire.

That's actually incorrect, but the point was the Brit expedition was meant to take the canon powder and shot away from the militia...NOT to confiscate their rifles.

And it was CANONS that drove them out of Boston...not rifles or muskets

    $50 fine?

Damn I’d be tempted to remove it just to be bratty for $50 :)

What kind of generic sign is that? From Home Depot, next to the garage sale signs?

No a govt agency listed, not legal codes, no contact info etc etc...nothing.

That thing has as much legal authority as something I could type up,

The part of the world we identify with (first world countries) is doing much much better than us. EU won't even take us anymore. I wouldn't either. Look how stupid we are about this. How could mask wearing possibly be controversial? But it is.

And a large share of blame on that goes to Fouci and the WHO for lying to us about mask wearing so they could protect the PPE stocks.
