That will depend on the facts and circumstances, which really has nothing to do with global warming or the science behind it, now does it? Nor does it have to do with whatever climate change agenda which ranges from recycling to lower emissions that contribute to climate change.

The argument you are making is not new and has been circulating among Far right and Alt Right groups who do not think Climate change, the science is real.

LOL. Peer reviewed studies of mortality that show reduced mortality with warming has nothing to do with warming or science?

If mortality has nothing to do with anything why is there so much concern about climate related mortality by the OP? The OP brought up mortality, not me! I just tried to get you science deniers to look at actual science, which I guess you won’t because science has nothing to do with the subject according to you.

According to you, peer reviewed studies in respected journals is far right propaganda from people who don’t think climate change is real.

I’m not making any “argument”. I’m simply educating you on the actual science. You seem completely unaware of the actual facts while repeating dogmatic talking points that conflict with known evidence.

Fake News. That we have been cooling for 8,000 years is a hard fact of science and exactly what is expected after the interglacial optimum.

Temperatures and sea levels were higher during the previous interglacial (Eemian) than they are today, and that's not a problem and certainly not an existential crisis. What will be an massive crisis is the 100,000 years of glacial advance that is common between interglacials. In the last interglacial ice was a mile thick over Chicago.

If today's history persists and is known to the humans shivering to survive the next glacial advance they will view those who feared warmth as ridiculous.

Fake news, I live in Texas. It was hotter in the 1930's. But on another note, Texas had it coldest winters on record the last two years. It's call the weather. You may have heard of it....it was a term used up until Al Gore promoted this hoax that started as 'global warming' now called 'climate change'.

So according to you anybody who does what government suggests they do doesn't think for themselves even though they thought it out and decided that they agreed with the govt.

For just one of the fear monger's predictions to come true. Again climate has been changing for 3.5 million years. Nothing you can do is going to keep climate from changing least of all monkeying about with a trace atmospheric gas that has no sort of correspondence with warming.

I did. That’s why I said earlier in the thread nobody who thinks for themselves should take it or the OP seriously.

That link is full of misinformation. It cites a CDC study but only reports on the findings for heat related deaths (600 annually in US) and fails to mention twice as many die of cold. These people are being lied to by people who’s authority they appeal to. When you show them science they reject it in favor of more lies from their masters.

I should add a bit on economic impact from disasters as well. PolitiFact gets it wrong here as well. Economic loss from disasters as percentage of GDP is falling. So alarmists are wrong on economic impacts as well as deaths from disasters.

Good point, but actually the Earth has been cooling for 50 million years, as the continents moved into configuration that is very conducive to cooler temperatures.

'The Late Cenozoic Ice Age began 33.9 million years ago at the Eocene-Oligocene Boundary and is ongoing.'

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Late_Cenozoic_Ice_Age

Now we have the incredible good fortune to be in an interglacial during ongoing ice age, but, this interglacial will end in an ice advance unless you think that the South Pole land pass is going to move to somewhere else, or that the previous gap between North and South America is going to reappear.

Many believe they can make a difference, and it doesn't bother me that they try.

"Nothing you can do" is a common life attitude. Too common, because people give up without even trying.

What do the the words "when it makes no common sense" mean to you? Perhaps I need to improve my English.

There is no way to control climate, at least currently. Throwing money at it is laughable. But the climate scare isn't about climate. It is about money, power and control.

I agree when they pay for it themselves.

I agree. But trying requires a clear goal and a sensible method. Otherwise it is just pissing in the wind.

True that's what everything is about with this current crop of Washington jackasses. Those jackasses thought they were inevitable and then Trump happened that's what all this bogus Trump stuff is about making sure no one will ever get in there way again.

As my dad use to say believe in one hand and crap in the other and see which one fills up the quickest. If what you believe is going to concentrate power in the hands of the people most likely to abuse it, governments, which all of these supposed climate change proposals do, the likelihood of any of then ever making the lives of anyone other than government flunkies better is somewhere between nil and zero.

No. I oppose some things that make common sense and support a few that are not. No doubt your common sense and mine can differ but it still isn't opinion. An example of an opinion is what you wrote above.
