…Justice told the DCNF that Moms for Liberty encouraged voters to “vote like a mother” and consider which candidates would give them the most say and control in their child’s education.

“There’s no truer love than that of a mother for their child,” Justice told the DCNF. “When we say ‘vote like a mother,’ it means vote, unabashedly for parental rights and for your children’s future. Don’t allow the hate or the noise to take you away from what you know to be true and right and good.”

Conservatives also made key pick ups on two state’s board of education; the Texas State Board of Education will hold a Republican majority, 10-5, after all 15 seats were up for grabs, the Dallas Morning News reported. Conservatives won all the open seats on the Kansas State Board of Education making the majority of the board conservative, 7-3, KCUR News reported.

Justice told the DCNF that the key education pickups Tuesday are just the start of the fight for an increase in parental rights.

“You’re gonna have school board members that are going to really work to prioritize, in their districts a focus on student academic achievement,” Justice told the DCNF. “Helping kids to learn to read. Enough of the alphabet soup nonsense of social emotional learning, diversity, equity and inclusion and Critical Race Theory. We’re hopeful the school board candidates are gonna go within and they’re gonna really change the way that the system is working.”

This is some great news. Thank God for these heroic mothers. The fight for parental rights in our kids education is making progress.

IT SURE IS, AND THIS SHOULD BE A MAJOR GOP FOCUS FROM NOW UNTIL 2024: New Yorker: We regret to inform you that parental activism is real and spectacular.

Here is 'the sneering derision in this Daily Comment analysis from Jessica Winter yesterday has to be read to be believed:'

'The 2022 midterm elections offered many snapshots of the contemporary school wars, but one might start with the race for Superintendent of Education in South Carolina, a state that languishes near the bottom of national education rankings and that’s suffering from a major teacher shortage. Lisa Ellis, the Democrat candidate, has twenty-two years of teaching experience and is the founder of a nonprofit organization that focusses (her spelling) on raising teacher pay, lowering classroom sizes, and increasing mental-health resources in schools. Her Republican opponent, Ellen Weaver, who has no teaching experience, is the leader of a conservative think tank that advocates for “education freedom” in the form of more public funding for charter schools, private-school vouchers, homeschooling, and micro-schools.'

'In short, the two people vying to run South Carolina’s public schools were an advocate for public schools, and—in her policy positions, if not in her overt messaging—an opponent of public schools. The latter won, and it wasn’t even close: as of this writing, Weaver has fifty-five per cent of the vote to Ellis’s forty-three.'

    Yes.

The Edu-crat 'has twenty-two years of service in a state that languishes near the bottom of education rankings. Her Republican opponent, Ellen Weaver, supports choice for parents that allow them to opt out of these schools and take funding to private schools instead, allowing their children access to education choices that wealthy families already have.'

Working Families say yes to freedom from edu-failures from the Dems most powerful union.

This Fake News Wench then 'derides school-choice activists as “ghost chasers”.'

'Those who profess to be hunting down proponents of C.R.T. in schools are “chasing ghosts.”'

'The ghost chasers bagged plenty of votes on Tuesday. A clown-car school-board race in Charleston, South Carolina, ended with five out of nine seats going to Moms for Liberty-backed candidates. Governor Ron DeSantis—the maestro of Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” legislation and a home-state hero to Moms for Liberty—endorsed six school-board candidates, all of whom won their races; Moms for Liberty endorsed a total of twelve in Florida, winning nine. In Texas, ten out of fifteen spots on the state school board appeared to be going to Republicans, including three seats in which G.O.P. incumbents either lost or dropped out of their primary when facing opponents who took a harder line against C.R.T.'

Note that she parrots the Lying Fake News Propaganda about FL's No Grooming Bill.

'The Minnesota Parents Alliance flipped 49 school-board seats.'

Time for Body Cams for teachers?

I saw coverage from around the nation showing that the movement had successes in school boards in districts all over America.

More likely and sadly will be more direct interference and interventions from the federal government and not from the Dept. of Education, but from DOJ and the FBI.

I think mothers, and everyone else, voted like they cared more about their country than pandering to a malignant narcissist and his big lie.
Even many repubs, who I want to thank for putting country above ideology.

Newly Elected Conservative School Board Fires Superintendent, Bans Critical Race Theory

'In its first meeting after the Nov. 8 election, the board fired superintendent Jackson and school counsel Tiffany Richardson. Then it hired Anthony Dixon as superintendent and retained Brandon Gaskins as counsel. And before the day was over, the board banned teaching critical race theory and created a board to review library books for pornographic content.'

    Not messing around.

The point you think you’re making is valid, but not in the way you think.

This "Group" has gained a reputation for being Extreme Hard-Core Whack Jobs...
“Moms for Liberty”: Bigoted Fear-Mongering Masquerading as Parental Power
The group spreads dangerous homophobic and racist conspiracy theories to their membership. On top of that, the “Moms for Liberty” have been holding conferences that are teaching anti-equality members how to run for office.

    Unmasking Moms for Liberty

Moms for Liberty, a nonprofit claiming to advocate for “parental rights,” appears to be using parents as pawns to advance a far-right agenda.
The group — which has quickly gained substantial media attention, becoming a right-wing sweetheart and mainstream spectacle — has attempted to paint itself as a grassroots entity driven entirely by passionate parents. But in reality, it benefits from right-wing funding and ties to traditional Republican political figures.
