Question: so do those opposing the wall on the southern US border (the usual suspects - Pelosi, Schumer, Booker, Kamala, etc.) secretly just WANT more illegal immigration in America? Personally, it does seem that way - more Democratic votes to keep them in power. A wall would serve as a DETERRENT to would-be invading hordes in the first place, before those mobs can even form. Your opinion?
It's an unpopular opinion among Trump supporters, but I'm very skeptical of the wall. You can climb over a wall with a ladder and rope. The majority of illegal immigrants came in legally, but overstayed their visa. Wall does nothing here. Also there are also many other ways of crossing the border like hiding in vehicles, trains, planes, boats, etc. Israel doesn't have these issues so there's no valid comparison. I'd say a wall would cut illegal immigration by 10 to 20 percent. It's not useless, but on its own it's very minimal. It doesn't even scratch the root issue. The fact that Dems are perfectly willing to give Trump the wall in exchange for amnesty programs is very telling. The wall is not a real threat to their agenda. You're not serious about fighting illegal immigration if you don't want mass deportations and a permanent end to any form of amnesty (it should be declared unconstitutional once and for all). Also heavy punishments for companies that hire illegals.
