Elizabeth Warren's mix of tough policies against big business and strong defense of regulation and consumer protection is positioning her for a landslide against conservative nutcase Scott Brown for Massachusetts Senate seat. Brown's negative keep rising, which is usually the death knell for a politician.

Warren is the right model for Democrats to follow: no compromise with the Tea Party lunatics, calling them out on their plans to destroy our regulatory system and the progress it has brough average Americans.

Hopefully other Democratic candidates will reject the bipartisan nonsense Obama has promoted and run like Warren. Hopefully, Obama himself will reject bipartisanship.

Her biggest advantage is that she has never participated in the notoriously corrupt state politics of Massachusetts. She is a true outsider and a fighter.

Scott Brown was in the state legislature for years and he does not have clean hands. Besides, Mass really is a liberal state and he really does not fit. For the few high profile votes he made against the republican platform there are a hundred he went along with and these will be held against him, every one of them.

it was historic when a republican scott brown took kennedys seat in a liberal state but scott brown was heavily financed by wall street, all of his big campaign donations came from hedge funds

he also protected their interests when he helped to blocked a measure that would tax wall street guys more but the people have spoken and he may leave for warren.

Makes you wonder how Mass. politics allows for any political debate past Democrats as usual.
    No wonder Romney left.
and the state went belly up.

Mass is doing quite well, unemployment is 7.4% and falling, there are over 35,000 new job openings a month, many in high tech. The states credit rating has just been raised and state revenues are rising. The housing market is stable and many new commercial construction projects have recently got under way.

The states population has been slowly declining for decades as retirees flee to warmer climates and the young wander away but there is a steady flow of highly educated immigrants attracted to the many universities and tech industries and an influx of smalll and midsized foreign companies, especially from the EU, that appreciate the educated, diverse and highly skilled workforce and the close proximity to Europe.

Wages in Mass are higher because there is competition for skilled workers and enough earnings to be made from their high productivity to make it worthwhile for businesses to locate there. This makes it worthwhile for workers to stay and pay the higher taxes and higher health care costs so they can live in nice places where their children can get the high quality public education. Public education is near the top in every category. Massachusetts also has 94% health care coverage, which is so popular that even Scott Brown supports it. Health care providers and insurers have begun moving on their own to a global payment system to cut costs as the state legislature begins addressing the second part of Romneycare, the critical part he deliberately left out, cost control.

There is no boom but a stable economy and a good quality of life.

Scott Brown won because he was riding the Tea Party wave at a time of economic anxiety before anyone knew what it was and his opponent was just another democratic hack who barely campaigned. It will be a whole other thing this time around. The things that people in Massachusetts care about are under attack and Scott Brown will have a very hard time portraying himself as a defender of those things. Especially against Warren, who has proven credentials as a defender of consumers.

Liz Warren is just the kind of politician we, America need, full of true smarts and great ideas, not wanting the job, does it solely out of patriotic devotion because we're in crisis against partisan agendas, won't make a life long career out of it, and won't be taking bribes, but tells it like it really is. This woman is what the Sarah Palin's of this world dream of being.

Have you read some of the statements she's made? After reading them I am sure in my mind she's a nut job and completely unelectable.

Imagine if this was her ad.

"There is nobody in this country who got POOR on their own. Nobody.
You were blessed from the start to be born in the most open and free society ever invented..you have all the resources to be anything you can make of yourself.

But I want to be clear. You chose not to improve yourself and live off the hard work of others who work x2 as hard to cover for you. You went to our schools the rest us paid for..failed..had babies.. did drugs and dropped out or just barely got by.You were safe because of the welfare state that the rest of us pay for.You pay nothing in the defense of our country..its police and fire protection..You form band of marauders and loot and steal at a moments notice during any natural disaster or civil unrest.

Now look..You built ghettos and slums..actually you built nothing..But God bless..You keep it.
But part of the social contract is that you leave something behind for the next generation.
So try leaving this country in the same place as you found it..not less.
Support a politician who knows the American value system..lives it ...and makes your world Better for EVERYONE each and every day.
That politician is not bound by color or class warfare..
That person is a conservative. ""

    " God bless America ! "

Of course modern Right Wingers hate her.

Her statement makes perfect sense, and repeats the sentiments of some of our greatest entrepreneurs, such as Andrew Carnegie and Bill Gates.

This is the state that continues to send Rep. Barney Frank to Washington. Electing another strange liberal will be othing new for them. I don't know much about Warren since I've never been to Massachussetts but given Landru's description of her, she should fit into the Massachussetts delegation quite well.

I tend to giggle when a liberal nutcase supporting another liberal Massachussetts nutcase calls someone a conservative nutcase.

After losing in NY 9, the Democrats can't count on safe seats in Brooklyn or safe states like Massachusetts.

The only winning strategy now is to run away from the left, but Warren is doing the opposite.

Warren's rant against factory owners is badly timed.

In this economy, we need to encourage entrepeneurs to build factories and create new jobs.

When politicians like Warren express their hostility to the idea of building factories, potential investors are scared off and hide their money in something safe like bonds.

I am convinced left-wingers won't be satisfied until there is 100% unemployment.

I'm not sure what their plan is after that.

What surge? they are neck and neck in the polls.

With how left wing MA is, she needs to have 20pt lead.

People are still pissed and out of work.

tell ya what, the gop is going to take the senate next year, so if you want you can have your little radical Warren as one win if you want.

What Warren said, and said emphatically was about as Nutcase as it gets.
That NO ONE in this Country was Self-made.That's about as loonybird
as it gets.I suppose Andrew Carnegie or even Booker T.Washington
don't qualify as self-made.Or Bill Gates or Clarence Thomas.
Warren showed her true colors.Real Americans don't wanna hear that
Liberal garbage. That even someone who literally picked themself up by their
own hard-earned bootstraps need genuflect at the altar of Big Government.
    Pure rubbish.

She's a career Liberal toady.Just because she croaks the liberal strain
or political bent, actually proves the point she is a shill for Liberalism.
I'd like to hear her rebuttal of this Country's Pioneer Spirit.
Or those who helped blaze the Oregon Trail.Even those Westward ho
to California types.Forget about all the Oakie who actually suffered during
the Dust Bowl because of Banks being in league with Big Government.
Farmers being forced off their land by big banks due to blight conditions.
Warren does typify the average Harvardite who has little real experience
outside books and professors and theory.
She's a Great Poster Girl for TWITS.

And yet, she's infinitely better than the best the opposition can muster. Why is that? With all his upcoming free time maybe Scott Brown will have an answer...

Yep, I've read that. That's why she's going to win: she tells it like it is, and isn't afraid to talk about America as a community and not some Social Darwinist killing field.

It's amazing how you Tea Party types hate America's traditional values. And that's why you'll lose in the end.

Starting from nothing she's already tied -- before the campaign even began. I call that surging.

Brown's negatives keep rising. He's toast.

A poll that is slanted toward Dems by 25% shows Warren surging. imagine that.
