Was Jesus an advanced alien species, biological entity, robot hybrid with advanced alien technology the people mistook for supernatural powers 2000 years ago?
Jesus was the most successful cult leader in history. Cult leaders today kill off all of their followers, Jesus had it figured out, the way for a cult to survive is for the leader to become a martyr and the followers to live to tell the story.
Well the question here is how does one distinguish between supernatural power and unknown advanced technology? Human nature suggests that an argument from incredulity will always favor the supernatural explanation. This being an example. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cargo_cult
Well, the virgin birth is consistent with alien/human hybrid babies born of moms who didn't have intercourse, so it would explain the virgin birth, OR........; the virgin birth was invented to elevate Jesus above the average man. Probably the latter is true.
One of the Kings of Rome, Servius Tullius, was said to have been conceived when a phallus appeared in his mother’s home… https://www.romaoptima.com/roman-empire/servius-tullius-from-a-slave-to-the-king-of-rome/ “…Ocrisia notices a strange thing above the fire in the hearth in the palace. After taking a closer look, she recognized what that was – a penis. Yes, someone’s private parts mysteriously appeared, and no one knew what to think of it. Queen Tanaquil, skilled in divination, and other respected soothsayers were consulted and the Romans came up with a perfectly logical plan – someone should have sex with the penis! Because it goes without saying that when a strange penis is discovered at one’s home, it is actually a blessing from the gods and any women lucky enough to conceive a child after having some fun with the thing will give birth to a future leader of a great country. Ocrisia was chosen to have intercourse with the mysterious penis. As an obedient slave, she did. The thing disappeared immediately after the act, but the slavegirl was left pregnant and eventually gave birth to Servius Tullius. It was hard to identify which deity was brave and horny enough to expose his genitals in such an unorthodox way. Pliny the Elder attributes the body part to the Lar of the household. Lars were the divine protectors of the Roman households and Servius is later said to establish a religious festival celebrating their importance.”
'Extraterrestrial' technically could include extradimensional beings. Supposing there is a 'spirit realm' (or realms) such as Heaven and/or Hell, occupied by beings that are not strictly human (or occupied by beings that progenerated humans) and exist in a reality that isn't precisely the same as ours but intersects at some level, it would be accurate to characterize those beings as 'aliens.' In fact, some have argued that UFOs/UAPs tend to behave in a manner we would expect 'demons' (and 'angels' to an extent) to behave. The iron-age writers of The Bible could very well have lacked the perspective to write 'from another planet and/or plane of existence' and simply wrote 'from the heavens.' Personally I don't find it implausible that an ancient technological being achieved absolute technological mastery over the universe, became 'God' and created (or seeded) us. An atheist who used to attend our Bible study in college once theorized that 'God' could be achieved by a computer with infinite processing capability coupled with a time machine. I have yet to find a flaw in that plausibility. Who TF knows. All I know is the people who insist God doesn't exist are arguing as much from a position of faith as those who claim God does exist. The only 'faithless' and truly logical argument is 'I don't know.' That will remain true until we discover everything and run out of questions. Its not impossible that a flying spaghetti monster really did create all of existence (though, certainly, more plausible scenarios exist).
I guess the proof Jesus was a god is the miracles he performed. Truthfully, I have never read the bible. I've just picked up bits and pieces of Christianity through I guess, cultural osmosis. But many of the miracles I have heard about don't really seem too impressive today Many of Jesus miracles seem like they could have been performed in the realm of technology. What would Jesus most impressive miracle be? To me it would be parting the red sea. Are there other more impressive miracles?
Moses parted the Red Sea Jesus healed the cripple and the blind, turned water into wine, fed a lot of people with a little bit of food, walked on water and came back to life after being dead for three days, not necessarily in that order. Its plausible these are allegories for what we can accomplish with technology (and some we have) if we advance technologically with 'loving our neighbor' in mind. I've referred to this as 'Christian Humanism.' IMO Jesus' greatest miracle was defeating Hell (or at least the concept of hell). The Bible doesn't precisely say it happened this way, but it arguably suggests that Jesus was able to reach people with the 'good news' of His unconditional love and forgiveness after they die and perhaps even after they are "imprisonned" (in hell), and this would only be done with the purpose of freeing them from it. Though its incumbent upon me to mention that this is neither an orthodox nor even a popular interpretation of the resurrection. But if that's what happened, it would equate technologically with either time travel or dimensional travel or both, as Jesus was able to leave this existence ('die'), travel to another ('hell') to spread His Word to all those that died and all those that will ever die, and then return to this existence ('life').
One of the best and most brilliant answers to this question was given in the near death experience of Bruce F. MacDonald Ph. D. Your nomination for Nobel Prize in Literature? You are in agreement with near death experiencer Dr. Bruce MacDonald Buri....... Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus was the child of Joseph and Mary, and when the Holy Spirit landed on her..... she knew that she had to seduce her husband during the time of their engagement period......... so that the twins could be born at the correct timing! This theory seems to be in agreement with a legitimate understanding of the original Hebrew of the verse in Isaiah about a "virgin" or unmarried young woman becoming pregnant with Messiah Son of David, Messiah the Passover Lamb!
