Washington Post's 'bizarre,' 'comical' profile of Anna Paulina Luna littered with errors, congresswoman says

    [IMG]Video
Freshman Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., said Friday that the Washington Post's profile of her contained several mischaracterizations and factual errors, and said its suggestion that she only embraced her Hispanic heritage in order to run for office shows how far the mainstream press will go to attack conservatives.

"As I've said before, and as the Washington Post has clearly showcased, anyone who is a conservative minority is a threat to Leftist control," Luna told Fox News Digital. "They can try to discredit me, but unfortunately for them the facts completely blow their story out of the water."

The Post story, based on interviews with relatives and former friends, calls into question aspects of Luna's biography and falsely reported that she once registered as a Democrat, she said. Luna added that the Post's story bears a striking resemblance to claims that the New York Times began reporting on earlier this year, but never published…

…To Luna's office, the Times' declining to run the story is further evidence of the weakness of the claims.

"We find it interesting that the Post decided to source its claims from distant relatives who have also made very anti-gay and conspiracy comments on their social media and do not associate with Rep. Luna or her family," Heipel said…

It was as expected. Nothing more than a hit piece from the MBFC approved Washington Post. It was all a false smear job.

This is typical of the lamestream news media. The typical all out smear of a minority person who is conservative. The Washington Post could not believe that someone with her background, story, and history could be a conservative Republican and they saw her as a real threat to democrat party hold on that demographic so they tried to destroy her. It blew up in their faces because she had the receipts to prove her story to be true.

Even though women outnumber and out live men and must always be believed, just being a woman makes her a minority, but I’m good with changing that rule if you are.

Well the Washington Post and other MBFC approved media sources were denying that she’s a Latina or questioning if she was Hispanic enough just like they did to Sen Scott of SC questioning whether his African American upbringing was genuine enough. The things liberal media can say about conservative minorities would destroy a conservative media source that did likewise to a progressive minority person.

Luna is getting a reputation as a Female Geirge Santos...
    She LIVES to Spew Bullshit:
she served as an airfield manager at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri and then in Florida. She later claimed that she suffered from "enduring trauma" after experiencing a "home invasion" at 4:00 a.m. while stationed at Whiteman. Luna's roommate did not remember such a incident. Instead, there was a daytime break-in when Luna was not home. A police report supports the roommate's account.

Interesting. Did you know her last name was Mayerhoffer?

She also claimed she was white and not Hispanic.

The Washington Post historically has been a newspaper with left leaning editorial commentary. That being said, under the ownership of Catharine Graham it was a serious newspaper with only the editorial/commentary being liberal/Democrat leaning. But under Bezos for the last ten years the paper makes no pretense whatsoever of serious news reporting. In that regard it is a joke as pointed out in the OP. But yet, after economic struggle under the final years under Graham, the newspaper is making a profit under Bezos putting out pure left wing propoganda. I suspect that the irony of one of the richest men in the world making money (capitalistic profit) for cranking out pure left wing propoganda escapes most liberals.

Actually it is the lie to challenge her account of her life and her history. This is nothing more than lamestream news media retribution for her take down of the former Twitter executive in a congressional oversight hearing.

    Just his picture.

Side note. He looks like Ross from Friends if Ross had a ton of cosmetic surgery.

My point is her sudden claim of Hispanic heritage, after she identified as white non-Hispanic, seems like some sort of MAGA cultural appropriation to add to her story, already bordering on improbable.
