At the end of the day, the United States gets what it deserves. A majority of Americans cannot name a single branch of Government, or explain what the Bill of Rights is. More than 2/3rds of Americans don't know what Roe v Wade is. Approximately 1/3rd of the nation still believes Saddam Hussein had a role in the September 11th terrorist attacks. There is so much ignorance, so much laziness, so much selfishness. There are several of us who pay attention, who seek for answers, and though we disagree sometimes, care enough to improve the nation that we think, read, and debate. While I believe Government causes a lot of problems, I can't say that it is the root cause of the downward spiral this country is on. No, Americans have been falling asleep. It's been happening for years. The luxury we've built over the past generations have turned into sloth, laziness, and entitled attitudes in these generations. When we have dumb people electing our Congressmen, Senators, and Presidents, we will inevitably have bad outcomes. We get what we deserve.
I wouldn't say we deserve it, but yes we are going down the tubes because people are too (*)(*)(*)(*) stupid to think about who and what they're voting for.
Before retiring last night, I watched a segment on O'Reilly about the little darlings who work so hard all year at college on spring break with mommy's credit cards in Florida. What a collection of party dummies without a clue. This thread should tie in with my post today on the decline of America and the Chicano movement's secession forming an independent Hispanic nation in about ten years from now. The Chicano movement must have increased it's recruitment at least by another 10 thousand Hispanics after that display after it aired last night up untill now.
You can thank the state controlled educational system for this condition. ......... in great part. Put that together with sex and ball games on the part of too many working class people in the middle class who do things like run their credit cards up by thousands of dollars in debt going to things like the Super Bowl. Apathy.
