That's true to a certain extent. Hate speech is a call for violence. Trump and white supremacists bringing rage to their followers by telling them lies. Such as that asylum seekers or DACA recipients are here "illegally" or "just want to live off our tax dollars"... is hate speech and must not be tolerated.

This is an indirect hit at trump... isn’t it? He’s to blame? I know this is the point you want to make. The problem here is the media and the left, they talk about racism every day, this is dividing the country.

Where were you when the left, media created the chaos with all the lies about bad cops? How they gave a voice to racist BLM which alongside media incited violent riots by making things up, not waiting for facts and putting cops on trial in court of public opinion?

And have people not realized that hate crimes are mostly incited by the media and the left who are constantly pulling the race card, bashing whites, attacking cops, attacked ICE.. they talk about racism 24/7 and no-one realizes this is part of the problem?

Remember all those cops that were ambushed and murdered by black people during BLM? Where were you condemning BLM, media and the left?

Everyone is saddened when this happens and it should never happen but to pretend it’s trump and to only use these incidents to attack the right is a disgrace. The left is part of the problem, we need to stop talking about racism every day, it creates racism. Blacks watching start hating whites and whites watching get angry... the media and both parties need to stop making racism the center of debates, it is dividing the country.

The “race card” ploy is a deliberate effort to muddy the waters so that unacceptable behaviour gets a vernier of acceptability. We saw this being used recently by Trump supporters

Hate speech is stictly speech which someone hates subjectively. Such as each of your posts.

Opposition to illegal immigration or DACA or calling asylum seekers frauds who are just illegals is a political position and not a call for violence.

You do not have to listen to such speech but you do have to tolerate it's existence. This is still a free country and you do not get to decide which speech is tolerated. Hate speech is protected by law.

Please list all the white supremacist that you know. I live in a border state with some of the most liberal gun laws and not only do I not know any white supremacist I have never seen a white supremacist. Most of these recent and not so recent shootings are performed by young men barely out of high school. They are self worthless that were most likely an outcast and bullied throughout high school. These kids don't even know what white supremacy is. They just know that the only way to get likes, retweets, followers, thumbs up and the rest of the bullcrap that has infected our youth for the past decade is to one up over the last sensation.

The shooter today was most likely bullied by Latino students in high school and never stood his ground. His only way out was to cause mass destruction. I blame white supremacy and racism on the media and social media.

I feel like people are just becoming dumber. They say trump is a white supremacist but have no proof. They blame the right and trump for inciting hate crimes yet it’s them spewing HATE 24/7 since even before trump got elected. BLM was one of the most divisive racial times in history and obama was president so should we blame obama? Call him a black supremacist? Of course not..

The people that have been talking about racism 24/7 every day, accusing opponents of being racists are as much to blame for rise in hate crimes than the people they accuse, in fact, they are more to blame.
