Covid - has been with us for about two years now and keeps mutating. It has spread worldwide and has caused millions of fatalities. We can fight it with masks and vaccines but, even so, it continues to spread.

TDS - doesn't mutate but has been around about five years now. Seems mostly prevelant in the US. There seems to be no cure. Once infected you may be infected for life. There are no known cases I am aware of in which it got better. While it leads to total mind deterioration, in most cases it is not fatal.

BDS - the newest of the viruses. So far it seems similar to TDS as it doesn't seem to mutate but is spreading more and more every day. So far it is confined to the US. Since this virus is fairly new we aren't aware of it's long term impacts on human health. There have been no fatalities as of yet. While not a huge problem right now, the rate of spread is alarming.

Meanwhile, COVID breakthrough cases keep accumulating while the Murderer Fauci pretends they don't happen.

Literally every single person I know who has had COVID has been vaccinated.

    No such thing as BDS

we like to rip on Biden but don’t get physically ill over him or March around saying “not my president”
It’s funny that you try and change a real disease by replacing the T with the B

I can't really say people who do not respect their president to an irrational level is comparable to a virus which has killed over 650,000 Americans in under 2 years time. Perhaps there is overlap in political misinformation and irrational behavior, but in terms of impact I can't say either of the latter 2 could rationally be compared to a virus.

How many of them were intubated and/or died from COVID?

Statistically speaking, over 95% of the people who die from COVID are unvaccinated, which is a hell of a thing considering more than half of the population are now fully vaccinated. FWI, saving peoples' lives from a virus is a big deal.. it's the single most important function that a vaccine can have

    None, thankfully.

Are you prepared to mandate boosters for the rest of humanity's existence?

As you are a Trump supporter, you realize that Trump was “installed” by Congress when they accepted Trump’s Electoral College vote in 2017, despite Trump’s 3 million vote deficit.

How would that be different than Biden?

We don't know if their votes lined up with the people's votes in several states. So no, not an asinine reply.

Yes we do. The tin foil hat crowd may be confused, but they can't even figure out that the Earth isn't flat.

As of now, we don't even have mandates for the first doses of the vaccine. No legal mandates anyway, only mandates for specific professions and industries. Personally, I do not have a problem with that, because that's something that has existed since the beginning of the 20th century. For example, getting vaccinated has been a regular requirement in the military. If they want to add the COVID vaccine to the list of required vaccines for the military I am fine with that (In fact George Washington required his soldiers to get inoculated for smallpox, which is something he required due the the fact that plagues have a very long history of crippling military strength).

Likewise, any private sector establishment can require vaccinations if they so choose. The private sector has always been free to implement vaccine requirements for their employees, and I don't believe any of that should change now because of COVID, they should still be free to implement their own vaccine requirements, the same as they've always been allowed to do.

Realistically speaking, this plague is the same as many others in history, except with modern advancements in travel and trade, this one is able to spread worldwide, and in a very short period of time. However, thanks to modern medical advancements, we have the ability to create immunity faster than ever before... but of course this hinges on two factors, natural immunity and vaccine immunity. We cannot rely on natural immunity alone because...

    1. The fatality rates of giving more people natural immunity are overwhelming
    2. Like vaccine immunity, natural immunity wanes over time, except there is no way to get a booster than to contact the virus all over again, which comes with a risk of spreading the virus to other people each time.
    3. Natural immunity varies by how much of the virus you carried when you were positive. Think of it like a vaccine that can potentially work better than any other option available, except you don't know if you are getting a full dose, 1/16th of a dose, or 1/50th of a dose.. and when you do get the full dose, it comes with a very high fatality, and other long term health factors.
    4. Viruses mutate by reproducing, and each individual who gains natural immunity represents the virus producing at least once.

So ultimately I consider the presence of vaccines are a blessing. In regards to vaccine requirements, I am completely fine with leaving things the same as they were before COVID. That is to say, we allow businesses and professions to implement their own vaccine requirements

Just take a gander around the forum if you want to see examples of hysterical, apoplectic BDS in all its right wing glory.

If it makes any difference, Biden sometimes think's he's not our President, too. He keeps slipping up and talking as if he's in the Senate still.
