We cannot go back in time to change anything, because of slavery we now have a much greater population in America and although most of this population was brought here against their will their distant descendants are part of the rich group of people that is America, one thing is clear we as a nation have nothing to apologies for although some of our ancestors did wrong in what way should that haunt us now? Should families individually apologies for the crimes of its members past and present? I think we should dispense with the scapegoating and be thankful for what is because we are not our ancestors, for good or for ill and we should look to our own lives and not be wallowing in our nations past sins.
