    It isn't the masks. It is the authoritarian orders from government that is the problem. If government had simply explained their value and urged people to use them, none of the war against masks would have happened. Americans are basically a free people and don't take well to authoritarianism. Simple as that.

    The UK government tried that approach and most ignored it. Only when it became law did most people start wearing masks

    Maybe the US governments should have followed the lead of the Swedish government and treated their citizens as adults instead of children?
