    Yet exurban, small town, and rural areas have plentiful guns and less or no crime. Why can’t big urban population citizens be responsible with their weapons? Guns are not cheap even where they are legally plenty full.

    Lol where do you think they’re getting the guns from in the first place? And are you really trying to argue all crime is committed by undocumented immigrants? Especially when we know they’re less likely to commit crimes compared to the general public.

    Or rise in gun ownership.

    Because their access to other forms of politics has increased and are not as reliant of martial displays of superiority. Why shoot someone when you can have a fancier lawn than them?

    If this isn't the most pathetic attempt at deflection I don't know what is.

    Rural communities that are absolutely loaded with weapons yet have almost no crime, much less murder and you're claiming it's 'other forms of politics' like lawncare.

    Good grief there's overwhelming proof that it's the people, not the guns, that are the problem and yet the left just can't win politically with that angle so they ignore it.

    Besides for Uvalde? Because low population density and… access to more resources increases the kinds of political participation one can participate. Even then, are yo really saying all rural areas don’t have as much crime when we factor in deaths by despair? How bad did the opioid crisis hit rural communities?

    Around 2010 when then newly hired Detroit police chief James Craig was asked what can honest citizens do to protect themselves as the average police response time was like 30-60 minutes and many times officers never responded to rapes, arsons, assaults. Mr.Craig said for those who fear for their safety to get a gun to protect themselves.
