Hi, I just wanted to introduce myself to these forums. I would like to state a few things...

    1) My political beliefs.
    2) Why I am here.
    3) Where I want to go.

    1) My political beliefs...

I am an EXTREMELY MODERATE eco-anarchist. I believe that a hierarchy of people responsible for the government of a country is not the best direction to go in the long term, but I do support the democratic system, and therefore I desire direct democracy. I also support environmentalism. However I do realize the reasons why we need representatives for our government: logistics. It costs a lot of $$$ to make referendums, and therefore taxation would be high, causing some people who do not benefit from the taxes to want to change the government to cost less $$$ when making decisions. That can cause problems down the road, and therefore a representative democracy, until we get high cybersecurity that doesn't involve the government being directly in charge of censoring material within their borders, would be the best option. I also wish that cybersecurity would not be in the same boat as telephone, telegraph, fax and other telecommunications because (insert plural word for unpleasant people) like the dictators of China and North Korea are censoring an extremely large amount of information. I also support human rights.

    2) Why am I here?

I am aspiring to be a video game designer. I had a few ideas for video games that involve political issues of the past, present, and possible future like pollution, the political spectrum, fascism, and the rise of technology. I like my science fiction with quite a bit of cyberpunk material myself, if you catch my drift. I also have some contemporary political beliefs, so...

    3) Where I want to go...

I think that I explained everything I needed to here, but I also have one last goal in mind: get a university degree in programming. I think that covers it...

So, I wouldn't be taking any questions at the moment. So... adios!

Hi welcome, political video game programming eh?

Make a PGA golf game where Barack Obama is the only character.

    Welcome Pred! :)

I think that's the first time I've heard someone refer to themselves as an "extreme moderate" anything lol. At any rate I look forward to discussing many ideas with you in the future!

Ha, the way Tiger's been playing as of late...it would be one hell of a boring video game. Slice-hook-put-miss.

How about more local and less national, centralised government?

    Welcome.

I am grateful for the welcoming greetings that I received.

Anyways I wanted a direct democracy to affect what happens within a country nationally (to deal with things like foreign policy) as well as locally (for municipal stuff like roads to stuff in a region, territory, province, canton or state, like education) but like I said before that system is extremely expensive.

    A video game designer huh?

Make a sim city type video game simulation with a "progressive" government with open borders and free money for everybody and a tiny military and let the sim play out and let us know how long before the fictional country collapses or gets taken over by its neighbors lol.

I'm pretty sure you could already try that scenario in one of the Civilization games  Or at least the tiny military and open borders parts. Not sure about the money - try having no taxes? The American way is to tax everyone to death in every way imaginable, and then some.
