Between the fake patriots on the right and those on the left who don't even bother aspiring to be one, we have this gentlemen. Tom Suozzi, who was recently elected to fill the seat that king of fakers, George Santos, vacated, stood up in Congress and spoke truth unlike it's halls have seen in quite a while, certainly not since the advent of MAGA and the left-wings attempts to out-stupid them. Problem with the "border" bill is much of the money goes out of our borders to help others defend their border. Thats it. Thats the problem. Want to pass a bipartisanship border bill? Keep it focused on the US border and cut the bullshit out of it. Until he can say that, hes just another soy boy leftwing puppet.
A border bill shouid be about protecting OUR people. We really give a **** about the borders of countries that don’t concern us or can’t provide anything we need. Sad to say Ukraine is mostly useless. Whether they control themselves or they’re a vassal of Russia, it doesn’t change anything. They’re still corrupt. Just different beasts. The billions were spending protecting OTHERS should be used for protecting OUR people.
"real patriot"? I mean, maybe he is, but to me that speech just sounds like somehow a democrat that believes in common sense and logic got into congress.
He is still fresh and enthusiastic, with ideals. Let's give him a few months or years, and, he, too, will be worn down by the zealots. Sad but true.

Yeah, I'm not getting that "real patriot" thing, either. When I think real patriot I think of men and women like David Bellavia and the MOH recipient to his right... ...either one of those men should be President......but that's just me....
If either of those men got elected and then stood up and said what Mr. Suozzi said, which was essentially telling the children to stop being children, they'd have my support too. The point of my post was that someone who got themselves elected managed to stand up and speak necessary truth to power. Of course there are many who aren't elected who could do the same, these men perhaps among them(I don't know anything about either).
What makes him so patriotic? Is it because you agree with his agenda? I don't want anyone to work with him to further his communist agenda.
There is nothing “fresh and enthusiastic” about him. He was in Congress from 2017 to 2023 during which he was typical Nancy Pelosi Democrat plantation slave who voted the party line almost 100% of the time. He gave up his Congressional seat to run for Governor of New York. He lost that race to Kathy Hochul. So here is the Democrat lackey back in his old seat after he was unsuccessful in moving up the political food chain.
He isn't speaking truth to power. He is trying to get Republicans to turn on their base. We have suffered nearly a decade of Democrats telling us that borders are evil, creating sanctuary cities to protect illegal invaders, etc.... Now that an election is around the corner, they are pretending to be against the largest peacetime invasion in human history. They aren't. They are looking to legalize millions of illegal aliens to end the need for elections forever. Republicans had better not sign a single scrap of legislation. Trump can mass deport millions when he gets into office. If he doesn't do that, he is no better than the Democrats. Until the next election, let the blue cities burn. They deserve to get exactly what they voted for. I find it somewhat amusing that the demographic most responsible for Democrats being in power (blacks) are the exact demographic that have taken it on the nose from illegal immigrants. Like I said, to each his own, but I'm not getting "real patriot" out of this politician and his boilerplate speech before the House. If you or anyone else wants to see and hear what "real patriot" is about, I would suggest - and I'm confident the MOH recipients I mentioned earlier would agree with me on this - that you take a short drive from the Capitol across the Memorial Bridge to Arlington National Cemetery and stand in the middle of Section 60 for a while. If the sound of silence doesn't tell you what real patriotism sounds like, then maybe the sound of Taps and the people mourning the loss of their loved ones will: To be in the presence of actual real patriots is a truly humbling experience, one that too few Americans take the time to experience themselves, and that's an unfortunate thing.
