Anyone participating in the Trump Chicago thread, saw the unfortunate and very unfair "debate" I had with Snakestretcher should know that it was one of the very few times I'd ever gotten into a truly heated argument. It was also a great insight into EVERYTHING I hate about politics.

In a nutshell, I think a debate is only meaningful when something constructive comes out of it. To be very blunt, a debate is where ideas are exchanged, debated and you come to a resolution. There has to be a spirit and a purpose in a debate. You do not ARGUE for the sake of arguing.

But that is the single, the biggest thing I hate about politics. The most prevalent thing. Nothing GETS done because of the argument. The very spirit of what should drive my intellectualism, is also what drives me crazy. I hate that I have to defend my views, not on their merit but on the fact that I hold them in the first place.

I don't mind debates on their merit, I don't mind critically analyzing why I believe something. I know Snake will be stunned by this, but I was a Liberal before being a Libertarian, and I was a Libertarian before adopting my Fascist-Technocracy. And no, it wasn't a fling. I RAN for Student Council president at 12 years old on Liberal theology(albeit not too advanced, but I was 12. And hey, I won.). I was an Obama Democrat(You know, before they ruined the party and gave us hell in a basket in Chicago.).

And my Libertarianism? It gave me a solid, fundamental ground to disapprove of the ACA as a 17 year old when I gave a speech in my Civics class to great applause. In fact, the only difference between Libertarian theory(which holds that life, liberty and freedom is essential and that nothing can violate those core principles) and Fascism, is that Fascism actually takes the action to secure these rights.

That's it. Libertarianism of course, holds that any government action is "force", and therefore "violence". I therefore saw Libertarianism(and who didn't) as a philosophically wonderful philosophy, in a world where EVERYONE is a Libertarian. Unfortunately, that's not going to happen. So the revision was necessary, and hence here I am today as a Fascist-Technocrat.

Of course, I'm not a Fascist-Technocrat to assure these rights to the rest of the world. I'm a Fascist-Technocrat to assure them to America. And through positive developments, I think the world can get closer to granting those rights, instead of reprieving them.

But yeah, arguments that do nothing more than demonize or weaken politics and politicians takes away from any ethos and reason I have for doing this: Making things better.

In a nut shell, I wish politics was 9 X 5 job, with a CEO overhead. Then at least, I could do things as a worker to get the job done, without the constant moaning, grumbling and complaining. In a way, I sympathize if Hillary were to go ballistic. We politicians have a THANKLESS job.
