In a democracy do you vote for a person or for a policy? If you wish then please explain and use examples if it will help clarify the point.
I'm no expert and that is often why I open a thread in the hope an expert will come along and post. In my experience elections have usually been a choice between candidates where each candidate has made clear the policy they will pursue. That is a good plan if the candidate has integrity, and completely believes in what they are advocating. Hillary Clinton explained that she is not such a simple person, that she explains one thing in public and something else in private. Donnie made a multitude of off-the-cuff statements from his own personal feelings which came out so immediately but were sufficiently in agreement to show that they were what he was actually involved in thinking at the time. Like him or loathe him, he was for real. In both cases voting for the person makes sense.
When a person is hidden from public view, due to COVID for example, as Biden was, voting for a candidate can go badly wrong.
Camel hair is keeping a low profile, pretending not to be interested in winning. If she wins she will be worse than Biden.
