    Kurdistan will be whole and free in the fullness of time. Your personal views are of no consequence on this subject.

    If that is the case you clearly misunderstood my original post on this matter. I see the birth of Kurdistan as a good thing.

    There is a lot of water to go under the bridge...... Iraq and the Kurds have be attacked by Turkey. The promise of the oil fields in the Kurdish region of Iraq by America? The Kurdish region of Syria have been attacked again by Turkey..... things don't bode well for any nation in the middle east for a long time to come!

    Unless there is some movement by Russia or China to protect Syria and there access to oil, they are both going to be losers in the long term.

    I think both nations will look after their national interests, and stop America and the UK from annexing Syria and Iran and installing yet another puppet government.

    Pax Americana is over. Since nature abhors a vacuum new forces will rush in to fill the vacuum. That's what we're seeing now throughout the Maghreb and Middle East. Part of what we're seeing is a new aligment in the guise of the age old struggle between Sunni and Shia. While these forces are busy grappling with each other the Kurds are seizing the opportunity to achieve self-determination incrementally. Good for the Kurds.

    ========================

    Albert, I suspect you dont know much abt the Kurds , do you ?

    You're apparently oblivious as the the extent of Kurdish leadership gangster M.O's and the backstabbing - literal daggers drawn/ inter-tribal conflicts .

    Any sort of "independent Kurdiland " will be LAND LOCKED . Unless they learn to live in peace with their neighbours they wont be able to EXPORT a single drop of oil, unless they + their american friends find a way of airfreighting the oil. LOL

    Its quite likely that instead of a democratic Kurdland a tyrannical state will emerge where other ‘Kurdish’ groups will be discriminated, as well as the Yezidis and the Aramaeans.

    Independent Kurdistan means bloodshed before and after Independence

    If an independent Kurdistan is monstrously created on Turkish territory, and efforts are made to lead Iranian Kurdistan to secession, this will signify that the Iranian province of Western Azerbaijan will be demanded as part of Kurdistan. Azerbaijan-e Gharbi with Urumiyeh as capital is a pivotal area in the Middle East. At the same time, it reflects millennia – long realities, having a multicultural identity with analogies to Switzerland. Aramaeans, Armenians, Azeris, Turks, Turkmens, various ‘Kurds’, and Persians have lived there for centuries, and the least educated are already bilinguals!

    As a matter of fact, there are many Armenian monuments and churches in the area, and they are fully functioning: near Maku, Tadeos Vank or Karaklisa (the Black Church as the Turkish name suggests) is the famous Thaddeus monastery that fascinated many travelers over the centuries. Armenians still arrange summer festivals around the impressive in the middle of the valley. In Julfa (Persian side, not Azerbaijani), by the river Aras, St Stefan church is another great monument that gathers many Armenians, particularly those who, persecuted, left Jolfa to go as far as Isfahan and establish a district named Jolfa in the great Persian capital.

    Albert , the people of that region are INTER-DEPENDENT , you should pray + WISH for peace amongst those people instead of further DIVISIONS.

    I am familiar with Kurdish history from Saladin to Barzani. Your post is unworthy of further response.

    I fear they will be the tool or the prize for those with vested interests.

    But I wish you were right and at least some can have peace!

    Erdogan is in a very bad position nowadays. He is forced for a war in Syria that but 2 things blocks him; First Turkish people dont beleive the neccessity of an operation, and dont beleive to innocent community to help aganist Esad. Some of Turks even support Esad and beleives that others are terrorist and puppets {serious amount of people beleives to this, specially Turkish Alevians}. Second Russia and China dont allow for an operation.

    I dont know How Russia and China will be solved by West but to Turn Turkish people to support the war aganist Esad spys are working so hard. With the last attack in Gaziantep which is a big Turkish city in Syria border this shown like an atack of syrian El Muhabere an Pkk cooperation. They want to show that Pkk and Syria common enemy. It seems that more blood will run to turn Turkish people for a war aganist Syria.
