I agree. Gee, all of your promotion of 'healthy communities' makes you sound pretty conservative!

Yes, but if it were done on a State basis, why would it not put public schools in that State out of business?

Absolutely, but what the hell do you mean EVEN Australians? :roflol:

You seem to have quite a bit of insight into the American school system. Are you an American expat living in the UK?

"Public funds" = "government funds", right?

What makes you imagine that's exclusively a conservative thing? Who wouldn't want to live in a healthy community? There might be difference of opinion on exactly what that looks like or how best to achieve it but ultimately, everyone wants the same kind of things. It's only the political extremists and opportunists who try to spin things in to "us and them" binary divisions (ironically, damaging the health of their communities).

No, just literate, logical and lucky enough not to have been indoctrinated by any pre-determined political positions. Anyway, many of the principles and concepts in this topic (like many others) are universal. We have very similar debates here in the UK and I'd be surprised if it never comes up in Australia too.

I'm not here to play 20 questions so I will move on. The term EVEN was to include Australians with Americans. Feel free to correct my English.

yes. Public funds generally go to public interest expenses such as a public library, public schools, public roads, etc. They are not for the purposes of private funds like, if it happened, ATT stadium n Arlington Texas.

It didn't make sense that you claimed that a national policy would put schools out of business, but not State.

Looks like you are unable to stand by your position when it is placed under scrutiny.

72% OF THE PUBLIC — 68% OF DEMOCRATS, 67% OF INDEPENDENTS — SUPPORT SCHOOL CHOICE … BUT 100% OF TEACHERS UNION BOSSES OPPOSE IT: Why Public Schools Should Want School Choice.

Teachers' Unions are Democrats most powerful union, and they milk educations funds for the furtherance of the DNC like they were milking a cash cow.
