Many do not want to see the nation fall into total disarray like it did last time someone went on about maga.

Disarray. LOL. A disreputable personality is all it was. The disarray has succeeded him.

I saw no chaos caused by Trump other than the chaos his personality caused for the left.

Thanks, but living through 2020 one time was enough for me. If you want to re-live the chaos, then you can vote for it next year.

    Really?

You prefer 11% unemployment to 3.5%?

You prefer GDP decreased 33.3 percent, which it did in 2nd qt 2020?

    You prefer $3+ trillion deficits?

    Riots? Lockdowns? Masks?

A president who couldn't stop whining?

    No thanks

Of course not. The unemployment in 2020 was caused by government response to covid. The current rate results from the end of that.

    See the answer above

There are no deficits because there is no budget. I prefer the government spending we had in 2020

    I hate riots. Don't you?

Of course when compared to his successor. We haven't had a truly competent president in my lifetime. The current one is the worst of the lot.

You said you'll take 2020 over 2023 any time, but sounds like you didn't really like it too much either.

Well, you are still saying you prefer the government spending we had in 2020, which created well over $3 trillion deficits. What's so great about that?

I didn't like it because of the unwarranted government response to Covid. But the economy was good and so was business.

Spending was lower than what happened subsequently. Again there are no deficits because there is no budget. There is only spending. If your point is the obvious fact that all administrations overspend, then obviously I agree.

Economically it was BY FAR the worst year since the collapse of 2008.

Spending was highest ever in US history.

If you want to repeat the disaster of 2020, then vote Trump in 2024. Its as simple as that.

Now is the worst it has been since 2008. I don't vote so trying to affect my non existent vote is futile.

Now is worst than 2020......Seriously? I suppose every years is the worst to a natural born pessimist.

    - 11% unemployment is better than 3.5%
    - GDP nosediving 33.3 percent is better than positive gain
    - Massive job losses is better than jobs gains
    - $3+ trillion deficit is awesome
    - Riots, lockdowns and masks is awesome on steroids

I think inflation will be the number one issue where it comes to swing voters, independents. Democrats will vote democratic and republicans will vote republican regardless of the issues or who the candidates are. That’s a given.

What interest me the most is where independents come down on the rematch of Biden vs. Trump. Independents make up 44% of the electorate if Gallup is to be believed as the two major parties shrink. 64% of independents don’t want Biden to run again, 56% don’t want Trump to run again either. Questions 20 and 21.

So, who will swing voters vote for? Will they vote at all since they don’t want neither one? Perhaps 2016 holds the answer when another election was between two disliked and unwanted candidates. Certainly not 2020. Issues, perhaps the biggest issue among swing voters is having the two major parties nominate two candidates they don’t want anything to do with. Other than that, I come down on inflation.

Inflation is already below 5%, so it will be at normal levels by the
elections, but economy as whole is always top priority. When Fed hikes are finished and war in Ukraine done, I think the economy will boom including the stock market which will make 401K holders very happy.

I dont want neither to run, and I still don't believe Biden will actually run even though he announced he will.

IMO they prefer a moderate from either side, - Romney, Rubio, Cheney, Kasic, Manchin etc.

Foreign policy. Both parties are existential threats so I'll vote for an independent.

It's an interesting concept: what the heck is going on with all of these super old leaders.
But we're already seeing what it is to not even have a POTUS. Biden is out of it. The idea that he actually chooses a policy is absurd. He told us decades ago he politically prostitutes himself. He was just the whore the cathedral wanted.

For me, it is foreign policy. If they get us all killed in a nuclear holocaust, nothing else we do matters.
After that, the economy. If we all start getting, in relative terms, rich, all other issues follow. Your kids in private schools. Buy your own health insurance. Fund your own retirement plan. If we get rich, what do we need such services from government?
