This question will seem like blasphemy to Christians who believe that Messiah Yeshua - Jesus in his resurrected and glorified Body does whatever He chooses to do in all the earth???? St. Paul was the most prolific author of the New Testament and he lived from 5AD to 65AD. Fourteen of the 27 books in the New Testament have traditionally been attributed to Paul. Augustus was emperor when Paul was born. He did quite a bit, all that traveling and meetings and organizing and preaching wasn't an easy thing in those days, and among hostile rulers and pagans to boot. The wonder is actually in how much he did get done under such conditions.

Paul was exhorting Jesus Christ's followers at the time to hold fast to their savior and calling. fter I'm not aware that the Temple had an Upper Room. The floors were all varying ground level floors. The Upper Room - the Cenacle - was surely in a seperate building. in Jerusalem. The Jewish version recognises this. The early christians still recognised themselves as Jews. It took some time for the Romans to distinguish between Judaism and Christianity. They still practised many Jewish festivals etc. Pauls Nazarite vow for instance. Their continuance in the Temple until it was destroyed. Most of what we are told of them after that is 'by tradition'. You quote that Christianity spread through the synagogues. Then why did Paul and his converts establish churches throughout Asia Minor.
