Britain needs a navy and a top 5 one in the world, it always has and always will.

No, what it doesn't change is the point of view of a person who would have the UK defeated and humiliated. The Royal Navy may not be the powerhouse it was in the last century--but poke at 'em a little bit and see exactly what you're advocating before you condemn so many Argentinians to another war they're going to lose. I think you'll find a considerable amount of steel left in their resolve--and more than a few Americans willing to back them to the hilt.
