I can only imagine the responses from our loyal 'apologists'.

The other 90% to say "enough is enough" and put an end to this themselves.

And if they don't do you think we are doomed?

No, because we are talking about a minority. Contrary to the belief of the fanatics, they will not "bring down the rest of the world" or anything of the sort. Just continue to immolate themselves and others until hopefully Darwinism kicks in.

The population of the USA in 1940 was 132,500,000 million people, in round numbers. There were 15 million men and women in uniform during WWII. That is over 11% of the population.

That's about the same % of estimated 'radical' Muslims there are.

Some of us believe that a majority of a nation's population fights wars or that a majority of the population is needed to WIN a war.

These stats, hopefully, illustrate that isn't true.

ESPECIALLY if there are a significant number of apologists and sympathizers in America working on behalf of the bad guys.

And if their goal isn't necessarily a combat victory over the American government, what can be accomplished by a very small minority of Jihadis and sympathizers in using our own laws and our own misguided progressive sheeple to alter our government and our way of life from the inside?

And am I an apologist or sympathizer?

Sorry, I am no more worried in general of "Radical Islam" then I am about "Radical Christianity", "Radical Socialists", or "Radical Anarchists" and "Radical Environmentalists".

It is not the second word I concentrate on, it is the first one, "Radical". And I see pretty much any radicalism to that degree as something that needs to be eliminated, no matter what the second word is.

And the vast majority of Muslims I have met feel the exact same way.

that is a interesting question, let's look at history, how did Christians finally solve this issue?

Well, in general, it was the "Age of Enlightenment". The religion fractured, and generally became more open to differing points of view. Yes, you had some really ugly stuff before hand (like the 30 Years War), but eventually it spawned more acceptance between the various sects that were spawned by it.

In the Islamic history, this would be similar to one of their "Golden Ages". Where instead of drawing in upon itself, ignoring change and differences, the religion actually embraced change and alternate viewpoints. A lot of scientific, historical and philosophical advances came from the last Golden Age of Islam. Trigonometry, Astronomy, modern medicine, the sextant, the introduction of paper (to publish all of this new knowledge pouring from the Middle East), architecture, and a great many other fields flourished from Islamic Golden Ages. And even freedom of worship was encouraged and embraced.

The problem is that right now, they are in the equivalent of a Dark Age. Where dissention is not to be tolerated, and anything not approved is forbidden. Think of the Catholic Inquisitions, and you can see the similarity.

Sorry but you can't take blazingcatfur seriously, his stuff is always used by the SUN network in Canada, they do some good reporting and put across a different point of view some of the time. I used to like Michael Coren, John Robson and Ezra Levant, they do good work on Islam within Canada and its problems, however that leads them to some strange places like effectively Ziomism and sometimes just plain lies about Muslims. The problem always is seperating the wheat from the chaff, whats truth and whats lies. It is the same with Fox, Sky UK, RT and PressTV, all have a agenda. Although I am no fan of government funded news like the BBC because its multicultural, secular and Royalist. I don't remember a rightwing presenter from the BBC getting their own BBC program, but other leftwingers have. The only rightwing show the BBC has is Top Gear because Jeremy Clarkson is in it, its the funniest show on TV.

The truth is nobody knows how many Muslim extremist there are, but I would guess there isn't 120 million of them, even 12 million or 1% would be pushing it way over the top. I would say the number would be closer to 100,000-3,000,000, people who want to attack western nations.

Then you have the problem of what is radical. I want to do a great many things that today would be considered radical, but just 60 years ago would have been normal. The same goes from muslims that move to our countries what is normal here would be radical here.

Most muslims I have met who moved to the US did so because they wanted to escape from the radicals.

One kid I served with in the Marines was from Iran. His family fled after the overthrow of the Shah and the rise of the Islamic Republic.

The gentleman who owns the 7-11 I used to go to for smokes is from Pakistan. His family left Pakistan in the late 1980's during the Khan administration.

Remember, most people move not to go to someplace, but to escape from someplace. My wife certainly did not move to the US because it was such an awesome country, but because her family was going to be killed if they had stayed where they were.

The other 90% enjoys being an indirect part of a radicalized religion which is the most feared, powerful, influential, respected and fastest growing movement on the earth. And in all honesty, who wouldn't? Everyone either secretly or openly wants to be feared.

By being even remotely associated or vaguely linked to radical Islam, the other 90% sends a tacit but threatening message saying beware of our potential to ferret you out, neutralize and terminate you and yours with extreme prejudice. It's like being a New Jersey Italian back in the day. Everyone thought Italians might have a Mafia connection.

If the other 90% was not sympathetic to radical Islam, they would speak out against it or as you point out, end the movement themselves. But they say nothing. Their silence confirms their approval.

Hear no evil, see no evil ...

I certainly do not fear it. Of course, I am also not a very paranoid individual and do not fear things that are foreign to me. I actually embrace them, trying to improve myself through this interaction with new concepts and ideas.

And every religion on Earth has and is radicalized. Should I fear Christians because some say I am going to hell unless I accept their way? That because some bomb abortion clinics that I may be next?

I think i should start by pointing out that it's not 120 Million extremists, you should also keep in mind those who take action against western nations should not all be treated the same, i mean a guy who believed Islam instructs him to kill all the "infidels" without regard to anything is not the same as some one who believes he is extracting revenge, why ? because the latter has weaker resolve since it's not part of his belief system.

I have always thought that western governments "not societies" do not actually want to try and solve the radicalism within Muslim ranks, because they found or analysed it can be made use off, had they wanted to do that we should have seen support extended by them to the known mainstream Islamic educational institutes "emphasis on educational", for every man these gain, thins the groups of terrorism further, in addition to supporting democracies as a rule not only when it suits other agenda and empowering the UN to play an unbiased, stronger, and clear role in stabilizing these governments, which of course will take years to affect the populations but is a fool proof system, instead of the circle of hatred we are involved in, specially since the infamous 9-11

Terrorism was, is and will be the bastard child of Ignorance & poverty

Montezuma, the Aztec chief, wasn't paranoid, either. Sadly for him and his people.

And I can't believe you'd try making that kind of comparison between Christianity and Islam.

Of all people, you should know better!

Actually, I do. And I have a long history to look back upon for precident.

    Spanish Inquisition
    Salem Witch Trials
    The Crusades
    The Thirty Years War
Centuries of Pograms in Eastern and Central Europe

I can go on, but I think I have made my point. It is not like that is particularly an Islamic behavior, or that Christians have not done similar things.

For you to bring up those ancient examples is as irrelevant and nonsensical as someone bringing up WWII Japan in a discussion of the current day threat of North Korea.

All of those examples represent a long ago threat that no longer exists.

Are you saying radical Islam is no longer a threat?

EDIT: Oh, and why don't you look into why Christians felt the need to travel to the Holy lands on crusade?
