In his mind, US should have banned Italian migration to stop the mafia in the 1920's. :)

Doesn't negate she finally realized that her stance on immigration was a failure.
Turns out it was rather accurate. You just didn't like the reality she was uncovering. Says more about you than about her.
    Sounds about right.
    Sweden is losing it's culture and identity. Which is what happens when you don't take the time to properly integrate it's migrants which is probably why they did this;
    https://www.usnews.com/news/best-co...en-once-welcoming-to-immigrants-shifts-course
"In October, Sweden’s new government coalition announced an agreement that includes broad proposals aimed at decreasing the amount of immigrants brought into the country, a dramatic shift in precedent for a country long-known to be welcoming to non-citizens seeking a better life. Experts say while it’s too early to know how the plans will really impact migration, the possibilities are concerning.
The general approach is to lower the standards in order to make Sweden less attractive as a destination,” says Bernd Parusel, a senior researcher at the Swedish Institute for European Policy Studies."

    https://www.government.se/government-policy/swedens-new-migration-policy
    "Sweden’s new migration policy
Sweden’s migration policy is undergoing a paradigm shift. The Government is intensifying its efforts to reduce, in full compliance with Sweden’s international commitments, the number of migrants coming irregularly to Sweden. Labour immigration fraud and abuses must be stopped and the ‘shadow society’ combated. Sweden will continue to have dignified reception standards, and those who have no grounds for protection or other legal right to stay in Sweden must be expelled."

Let's all congratulate Sweden on doing their best to try an remain Swedish.

Acknowledging the reality that you can't possibly integrate that many people at the same time with such a small domestic population is not "bowing to politcial pressure" It's an acknowledgment of reality. Do you deny her claims?

Turns out she was correct though.
    https://www.thelocal.se/20170621/no-go-zones-what-you-need-to-know-about-swedens-vulnerable-aeas
"The police definition of a “vulnerable area” is: “a geographically defined area characterized by a low socio-economic status where criminals have an impact on the local community. The impact is linked to the social context in the area rather than a wish to take power and control the community.”"

Here's what you have, regardless of what police or legislation wishes to call it. Areas that are now rife with crime that have overwhelmed the local police's ability to keep up with. Places the police suggest you avoid. Now of COURSE no government body would dare admit to calling any place a "no go zone". That infers that they've lost land and have been conquered. But the REALITY is that Sweden was facing a growing amount of crime ridden areas directly linked to mass migration easily outpacing Sweden's ability to integrate them. And police were failing at keeping under control.

Ya there is going to be a huge difference between flooding in a place that is predominantly white and catholic with one that is white and catholic vs other races and religions. Even still flooding in a place with any group of people with even slightly different culture/language or values is going to cause problems.

Which is why you shouldn't do it.

No, the post you made that I responded to, "It almost sounds like diversity is the racial jungle that Joe Biden didn't want his kids going to school in" is the typical conservative ad hominem and ridicule attacks when discussing serious topics.

LOL, yes, because integration as a whole is a process, not something that can be purchased at the local grocery store. Even Americans going to Europe can have a hard time integrating into society at first because of what is called culture shock. And in places like London, Madrid, Hamberg, etc, there are enclaves of "American" places where expats tend to congregate. And whether it is a single individual or large groups like the Irish, Italians, and so forth. Even places like Chinatown, Little Saigon, Little Tokyo, Koreatown, etc can be more American in nature than anywhere else. From the article you cited, it states, "even suggests a positive trend: that fewer people in vulnerable areas are falling victim to crime, men and women alike, and this figure is actually decreasing at a faster rate than in other areas of Sweden." The refugees are still there in those areas that were labeled vulnerable, but as people adjust, both the migrants and the natives, then there is an upward trend. But i guess you didn't read the article though, just the title.

Did you read the article or just the bi-line and then just stopped? Nothing in the article proves she was right. Sweeden already had vulnerable areas prior to the migration of Syrians. What is happening now, at least with Sweeden, is not because they are Syrians, but because they are trying to stop the labor fraud and abuses that go on with hastily constructed programs. The other issue is that the number of migrants from Syria is dropping off, so the need is also less, and Sweeden is basically adjusting to that lack of need. It is also dealing with the crime in Sweeden that took advantage of migrants. And that too is also helping. But it is not like Sweeden is saying no, they are just saying we see no demand any more from Syria.

LOL, there were huge problems with the Italians and Irish when they first immigrated. Germans were also, at one time prior to WW1 and WW2, a less desirable group of aliens. So were Eastern Europeans, especially Greeks, Romanians, etc. Irish because they were, gasp, Catholic, and there was huge anti-Catholic sentiment in the US in the 19th and 20th centuries. And as for culture, the United States has 50 different subcultures with its each distinct difference among the states. Language is not a concern. In the old days, like in Texas, there were major newspapers in Sweedish, German, Czech, and other languages that would serve their community by translating English laws into that language. Nowadays, technology can do that for us, and US government websites, by a click of a button, can turn the page from English to German, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Spanish, and even Russian.

For business, here are a couple of stats for you to consider:

    1. Corporations identified as more diverse and inclusive are 35% more likely to outperform their competitors.
    2. Diverse companies are 70% more likely to capture new markets.
    3. Diverse teams are 87% better at making decisions
    4. Diverse management teams lead to 19% higher revenue.
    5. Companies employing an equal number of men and women manage to produce up to 41% higher revenue.
    6. The GDP could increase 26% by equally diversifying the workforce.

That pretty much explains how diversity, if implemented will help the company achieve its goals. Adding new markets is how companies survive and grow, both in revenue and in GDP, per the stats.

It amazes me how you willfully miss the problems directly caused by mass migration. Highlighted first by Southern.

Here's a link directly from the damn government which clearly and concisely goes over the issues of immigration and why they changed policies.

    https://www.government.se/government-policy/swedens-new-migration-policy
There is even a video down at the bottom which goes over said issues.

And yet the article never made that clear. In fact, it acknowledged that the Swedish police are getting better at analytics, which suggests that the problems existed even before mass migration occurred. Again, nothing in the link you provided proves your claim. In fact, it does the exact opposite.

Every place has crime, but is extremely disenguious for you to pass this **** off as not negatively impacting society.

    She lists some of those reasons off for christ sakes;

    - considerable integration challenges.
    - housing
    - welfare dependency
    - put an end to the GROWING parallel society.

Back in 2017 when Sweden was still trying to downplay the negative impacts of migration they still had to admit the facts
    https://www.government.se/articles/2017/02/facts-about-migration-and-crime-in-sweden/
"Claim: “Immigrants are behind the increase in crime”"
Facts: Brå has conducted three studies on the distribution of those registered as suspected offenders across different groups based on native and non-native background. The most recent study was published in 2021. All three studies show that the vast majority of people, regardless of background, are not suspected of any crime. People with non-native backgrounds are, however, suspected of crimes more often than people with native backgrounds.

According to the most recent study, people born abroad are 2.5 times as likely to be registered as a crime suspect as people born in Sweden to two native-born parents. In relation to this latter group, therefore, the relative risk of being suspected of crime for people born abroad is 2.5. For those born in Sweden to two non-native parents, the relative risk is 3.2, which means people in this group are slightly more than three times as likely to be registered as a suspected offender as those born in Sweden to two native-born parents. However, the magnitude of this excess risk decreases when differences in age, gender and living conditions are taken into account, from 2.5 to 1.8 and 3.2 to 1.7 respectively.

A literature review by Brå in 2019, covering Nordic studies on crime and foreign background 2005–2019, finds similar results – people with foreign background are somewhat overrepresented, and the overrepresentation varies between countries of origin and type of crime. According to Brå factors that lead to segregation – for example low level of education and lack of employment or other occupation – also seem to contribute to a higher level of crime amongst people with foreign background. Factors such as war traumas, mental illness and the level of crime, conflict and economic development in the country of origin might also be factors that contribute to explain some of the differences."

    I love how they try to sugar coat it with bullshit like;
"The most recent study was published in 2021. All three studies show that the vast majority of people, regardless of background, are not suspected of any crime."

LOL. Well no **** sherlocks. That's such a progressive nonsensical thing to say. "Hey we found that the majority of people are not criminals, yay!"

Alwayssa posts some stuff that Alwayssa can't back up. Stuff like "diversity can be quantified and the benefits with improved diversity can be measured"

But either Alwayssa is ignoring me perhaps too embarrassed to either carry through or make a retraction. First Alwayssa gives me a general choice between "business" and "social", then Alwayssa pulled a Hocus Pocus and disappeared.

The Social Dems have not changed their position much at all.

It was not accurate. She painted the entire nation to be some sort of Brazilian favela with the sole purpose of dehumanising "brown" people.

It was pure and utter garbage.

Yeah, this is how racist have spoken ever since the 1960's when Finns were the primary immigrant group.

Actually, there are no areas the police suggest the common man should avoid. No such warnings exist.

In their own language, there are three ways of categorising the areas with high crime; Vulnerable area, Risk area and Especially Vulnerable area. The term "no go zone" is not used.

Nope. You can visit any of these areas and have a kebab without any problem.

    The violence is gang related.

Sweden has not been Catholic since the 1520's and "Whiteness" is an anti-concept completely foreign to Europeans -- in the 1960 s when Finns were the biggest immigrant group, opponents to immigration would call them violent drunks who ruin the culture.

Get your head out of Ann Coulter's butt.

"In an interview with the Expressen newspaper, Magdalena Andersson said her party was absolutely agreed on the need for a stricter immigration policy for Sweden, going so far as to take credit for the Social Democrats for the illiberal shift. "

    Yes, they have. :)

Naw it was accurate. As based off of the 3 separate studies done. Those "brown people" were 2.5 times more likely to commit crimes then the white people.
Your opinion. But then your opinion is pure and utter garbage.
News flash. Some cultures and ideologies just don't mesh well together. But beyond that, Sweden wants to remain Sweden. They don't want to become some middle eastern or north african **** hole. They want to retain their culture, values, their language, and their religious identity.

They have rightfully clamped down on future immigration and are sending those back that can't or will not integrate.

Let's all celebrate Sweden opting to stay Swedish!

As a matter of fact, the US shut down a lot of immigration in the 1920's. Not because of the Mafia but because of a lot of anarchist terrorism we imported from Europe. It's a shame we forgot that lesson.

They have only toned down their rhetoric because they realised a lot of their voters were voting for Sweden Democrats due to their complete and utter failure to deal not only with immigration, but also with saftey and the job market.

And most of those are not even first generation immigrants, but rather second and even third gen, i.e. Swedish.

    I actually live in Sweden.

    Yes, somevare better than others.

Not even one bit true. What you wrote here is the most controversial thing one can say in Sweden and there is actually nothing as Swedish as denying the existence of "Swedishness".

The debate is dominated by the academic filth imported from American universities where multiculturalism is preferred over assimilation.

The reason the immigrants have failed to integrate is because they are told not to.

You can't even find Sweden on a map, shut the ffff up. :)

The wording in the quote I just pasted to you was "illiberal shift" Shift. As in, change or movement. They not only want strict immigration reform, they don't think enoughs currently been done. And when Andersson spoke on it last while PM, she openly acknowledged parallel societies driven by over immigration and a failure to integrate those into Swedish society.
Bullshit. You are full of ze **** that spews from bulls.
    https://bra.se/publikationer/arkiv/...-med-inrikes-respektive-utrikes-bakgrund.html
"Being registered as a criminal suspect is two and a half times as common among foreign-born persons as among domestic-born persons with two domestic-born parents. The excess risks of being suspected of crime have remained fairly constant during 2007–2018, for both foreign-born and domestic-born with one or two foreign-born parents, respectively, compared to the risk for the reference group of domestic-born with two domestic-born parents."

Foreign born. You are not "second or even third gen" being foreign born. So please, peddle your beta cucked liberal bullshit of lies somewhere else.

    Go back to school.
    Great! We agree on something.
If you have a parallel society. One that is not integrating, there is nothing "Swedish" about that. And that's the problem.
    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...reates-parallel-societies-says-pm-after-riots
"Sweden’s prime minister has said the Scandinavian country has failed to integrate many of the immigrants who have settled there over the past 20 years, creating a nation of “parallel societies … living in different realities”."
Segregation has been allowed to go so far that we have parallel societies in Sweden,” the Social Democrat prime minister told a news conference. “We live in the same country but in completely different realities. We will have to reassess our previous truths and make tough decisions.”
"Integration had been “too poor, at the same time as we have experienced very substantial levels of immigration”, Andersson added. “Society has been too weak, resources for the police and social services have been too weak.”"

Her words. She admits to the reality that Southern reported on, a reality that easily offended progressive dipshits didn't want to face up to.
Sweden wants to remain Swedish. Looks like it's a more universal opinion.
    https://www.euronews.com/2022/04/29/us-sweden-immigration
"Andersson blamed criminals and said both Islamism and right-wing extremism had been allowed to fester in Sweden, in unusually frank and self-critical comments.
“Segregation has been allowed to go so far that we have parallel societies in Sweden. We live in the same country but in completely different realities,” Andersson told a news conference."
"told not too" Ya. Maybe. By the Islamist extremist currently living there in their own segregated communities. Why integrate? Why learn another language when you can just rope off chunks of Sweden and declare it your own shitty home where you can speak your foreign language, practice your shitty foreign religion and live your shitty foreign values?
Oh I think you can thank Putin for brushing everyone on this planet up to the realities of the geography in that part of the world, fella.

that wasn't the reason. The reason was the 1924 Immigration Act, which put national originas quota on immigration. Depending on which country you came from would depend on your chances of getting in. To say the least, anyone from Western Europe, including Italians, was allowed in more frequently than Eastern Europe such as Poland or Greece or from Asia or Latin America. it was a protectionist bill, for the most part.
