What's up with this hurricane Matthew crap?

I've been watching CNN for an hour now and no anti-Trump stores thanks to the hurricane. Maybe global warming is a blessing after all.

 

This should make everyone happy. I'm in beautiful, manicured, pristine Boca Raton... right between Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale and that's exactly where Matthew's hitting... so I won't be around for a while. I guess you'll have to wait until I make a landing... Who knows, I might either be flying or floating soon.

Needless to say there is a lot of prayers going on.

 

Here in NC, we're feeling pretty lucky at the moment. Looks like Matthew is gonna take a sharp right turn when it gets to SC. I suspect that Matthew, too, is boycotting our state because of HB2.

 

Call me skeptical of the this alleged uturn it is supposed to make per the most recent the forecast models.

 

I'll believe it when I see it too. I have stocked up on frozen pizza and beer, and am ready for whatever Matthew brings.

 

You guys remember when hurricanes used to rip up through Cuba, Florida and even spread death and destruction in New Jersey? It was the 50's and 60's and I remember it like it was yesterday.

Don't listen to the Democrats when they try to tell you that the earth's weather determined by which party you vote for.

 

Wouldn't that depend on the policies a given party wanted to pursue? Are you of the opinion that humans cannot influence the global enviroment and climate?

 

I just wish the people in the hurricanes path, the best of fortune, no matter what you believe in.

 

I stocked up on cat food. I don't want to be clawed to pudding should I run out in the hurricane

Don't worry. I'm sure King Cheeto will still be on Twitter tweeting about how he understands how those in danger feel because they had to ground his private jet for 1/2 an hour and he was forced to take a limousine like some kind of peasant...

No. The ultimate recycling is that cats will eat dog poop, and dogs will eat cat poop. If you have one of each, you only have to feed them once.

 

Used to have one for whom my being dead before he tried eating me wasn't really a requirement. When he got hungry, he got mean.

 

Since I'm in the Central Florida area, that would be unfortunate.

Particularly if I'm occupying one of them.

I have a feeling late night comedy may be changing. Can you imagine Hillary defending everything she's done in the last 40 years since she hitched her wagon to hubby Bill?

 

It was yesterday, or almost, Sandy was possibly the worst ever in NYC and Jersey especially.

There are two doomsday scenarios for Hurricanes, one is straight up Chesapeake Bay and the other is straight on to NYC, neither has occurred exactly but Sandy was very close to the latter

The Weather Channel is saying everyone has evacuated the affected areas, hopefully that means everyone will be safe. I just hope they aren't impoverished too as being cast onto the tender mercies of disgruntled pubs in November is not likely to be lots of fun.

 

While I was at Desert Storm, my wife and kids got a cat. When I got back, the cat decided that it did not like me. When I would come down stairs at night to get a glass of water, the cat would jump on my legs. I would dislodge it, and toss it across the living room. Aiming for the couch of course. Sometimes that is where it would land, but sometimes my aim was a bit high. Oops! Needless to say, my kids found a new home for the cat quick.
