Im thinking of creating a video for youtube of my favorite hip hop song, so far this comes to mind but if anybody has any suggestions can you please post yours...

Also, since I will be putting time into creating the video it would be appropriate to use a song that can translate well through film.

    Thanks.

And Im guessing its about remembering his dad too, how he mixed the two issues was clever. Yeh, I bought this when it came out, love pete rock and cl, especially like pete rocks soul survivor 1, his rapping was good on that, I recommend it as a various artists cd.

I wouldnt put TROY in my top 10 though, I really need to feel it cuz I gotta put some work into a video you see.

This might be more of a nostalgia thing for me, TBH, because it was the joint when I was coming up...

    Soul Survivor 1 though!!!

    Man, what a great album...

SS II was really damn good as well...

One of my favorites on part 2 was the song with Little Brother, "Give It To Ya'...

Not an actual video, but, what a great song...

The best Hip Hop is from the Beastie Boys, album called "Paul's Boutique".

Second in command is Tribe Called Quest.

I always get tomatoes thrown at me for saying this, but I was never really a fan of the Beastie Boys...

They have some good tracks, but I just never really dug them overall...

    Tribe, though!!!

    I mean, they were talented...

    There's no question about that...

It just wasn't really the brand I subscribed to, you know?

There's a reason why they're so revered in hip-hop culture...

    I just preferred other artists...

Yeh, just bough Kamal the Abstract [q-tip] and it's another ihighly reccomend, plenty of instruments you don't here in mainstream rap. Come to think of it, I'll try and post my fave joint off that, see what you think..although im not sure it would translate well through the type of video iwant to make, ATCQ is very mellow chilledout music..

See, I couldn't stand all the posthumous 2Pac stuff that came out...

Even this song was just rehashed lyrics...
